This is a VERY similar program to FatWallet. But it's a little different set up because of corporations like mine absorbing some of the operating cost.

2 things come to mind.

1) Your motives are suspect, but that is not a personal thing, it is just because you stand to benefit personally so we must question this.

2) If this is the best deal out there for cashback and can save me some money over alternative methods, I am down with it. I've used a variety of cashback, I'm always interested in the best % for a particular site.

The key question in my mind, are you posting this because this is the BEST (keyword here) deal you have found, or not? ie. can I get a better % another way, but that yields you jack ****

I didn't say that I agree with their methods either, only they're the biggest fish in the pond.

It also sounds like you and your business stand to benefit from this program as well. You keep some of the affiliate commissions and give a portion to the registered members that earn you those commissions. As such, I don't think that this "hot deal" thread is the appropriate place to pitch your program. If it were the place for that sort of thing, you would have everyone and their cousin posting tagged Amazon affiliate links, asking for people to click on them with the promise of a portion of the commission.

Agreed!

Skyline, take your spam elsewhere.

Whether I benefit or not is irrelevant. The net that the shopper gets is all that matters. The organizers of this program do take 20% of the cash back, but the figures I quoted above are all net of that. The rest goes to the shopper. The net percentage that goes back to the shopper in this particular program is very good. How it compares to every other similar program I just don't know, but certainly seems to be better numbers than Fatwallet.com. But it's got a lot sites that I have used in the past. Until a couple of weeks ago, the only programs like this I've used were Visa Rewards and Airline miles. And Visa bought me a large LCD TV last year. So the idea of getting a good amount of money back on something I'd buy anyway is attractive to me.

Anyone want to save 4% at Home Depot's web site?

(Not to mention discounts at about 4,000 other internet sites including Tire Rack, Best Buy, Target, NewEgg, Macys, etc,etc,etc....)

I set up an affiliate marketing program for my business customers that I would like to make available to my GJ friends. This is a cash back program and works VERY well. It is 100% legitimate. I just got $37 cash refund on a set of new tires on my car last week, (those came from Tire Rack). Feel free to register on the site below, and start getting money back on your internet shopping. You can also download a toolbar, and that makes a pop-up open anytime you visit a participating site, and will get you your cash back automatically. Without the toolbar, you must enter through the website beliow to get the cash back. This site also tracks active internet coupons available from many web site, for example when entering the Tire Rack site, it allerted me to a $75 rebate that Bridgstone was giving last week. Try it out. Send me a PM if you have any questions.

I normally consider myself to be a pretty harsh "spam nazi" but I was not put off by Skyline's link. True, he will benefit if we act on the offer but if one chooses to participate, there does seem to be a net benefit with no cost. Furthermore, Skyline has been around since 2008 with over 1,700 posts. That counts for something as far as I'm concerned.

Appropriate to post here? Maybe not but certainly not in the same category as some of the **** that pops up on this board.

No But what about the Snap on Torx screwdrivers set off e bay.
Got mine, LOL sure a lot smaller than I thought.
Guess I just ***-umed they were full size screwdrivers.
Guess there OK, but the plastic pack they come in sure looks used to me. Not brand new looking like the one in the picture.
Plus I see they are about $5.00 less now.

Still waiting for the Amazon set of the Wila torx screwdrivers,
And No did not get the thread files, or the $7.00 set's of files yet.
Thanks,
Tony

With that mentality, why not just open this up to classified ads, where sellers only get a small profit but the buyers get the real deal... Heck, let's fill it up with ebay links too. And everyone else's "affiliate marketing cashback" programs...

Re. Nicholson file set - the set I ordered is still pending.

Advance Auto has a bunch of Valvoline products (brake fluid, carb cleaner, etc) 25% off. It's not in the flyer (that I could see). Search for Valvoline then browse the list for discounted products.

Order online and add code P20 for and additional 20% off.

I'm pretty sure Skyline gets no kickback from this deal.

I'm sorry to interrupt this thread about cash-back programs and shipping-dates to post a deal, am I in the wrong thread? Is this thread for posting deals, or bitching, tracking shipping, and other Off Topic posts? I can't tell anymore.

Anyway, if anybody is still reading this once-valuable thread for deals, this tiny 3-gal CH air compressor seems to be reasonably inexpensive at $69.

Sorry Bolster if I did not stay on topic enough for you by asking if anybody had received their Amazon order yet. I will try to maintain your laser like focus the next time like you "always" do on this thread. Oh wait, I seem to remember this quote from elsewhere in this thread:

"I'm sad too, but why is it always corporate greed that is the whipping boy? There are dozens of other market pressures, but they get ignored. One of the biggest is the consumer, many of whom would rather buy a cheap HF file than a USA made Nicholson. Another is the American worker, who won't take a job unless it pays a certain amount with benefits. But, let's keep kicking corporate greed. It's easy and it's simple. If you or I were in charge of Nicholson, and had to keep the company from going under, we'd probably do the same thing whether we felt good about it or not.

Good news is, one of the few sectors of the US economy that's looking up, is manufacturing. And our dollar is so weak, the rest of the world finds US goods to be a screaming deal. So our exports are going up. With luck, maybe we'll be the next China.

Back on topic, just came back from a $50 HD purchase for $30, using the OSH coupon. (See? That's greed too. Everybody who reads this thread is a greedy ******* looking for a screaming deal. Except we don't call it "greed" when it's us...we are just being prudent and thrifty.) "

I promise I won't let it happen again.:lol_hitti

Ours was cleaned out in a couple days - I bought a bunch.

There weren't any signs in our store, but the Roloc sanding & surface conditioning sets were 75% off also.

This deal is still going on. And they had the 10 piece SAE set listed as well. At $10, free shipping if you pick up at a local True Value, you are talking $2.50 per wrench.

Yeah, that's not bad,
Wish they had the metric in the 10 piece for $29.95. Could get a lot more use out of it.
Personally, the 1/4", 5/16", 11/32" are not much use to me.
Maybe the 5/16" for side post batteries.
Thanks,
Tony

Went into my local Ace (4 blocks away here in bad old Detroit) just to check on these 4 piece sets for $10. Hadn't been in there for years. They had one Metric and 3 SAE. Got one of each. Might like to get one more of each for the car at that price. These aren't the ones they were selling a couple of years ago marked ACE. These are marked only Gearwrench and are nice looking. For now I keep them right next to my bed so I always have tools to fondle.

The reason it's back up to $58 is because whatever stock was left at the discount price is probably gone so it has to go to the next vendor which is MSC.
