Not sure if this has been posted already but, starting yesterday 4/16/11 Sears has their Craftsman 1/2 drive deep impact socket sets on sale for $39.99 as part of this month's Craftsman Club specials. If you need them this is a great price.:3gears:

FML, I see it as 39.99 under my craftsman club thing... but shows up as 69.99 in the cart.

I only shows up when you go to checkout

I did that too... went all the way up to where it asks for my card info. Did you enter your card info and showed on the following screen?

Edit - ah, got it. Still think I am going to pass... Apparently no one has the standard sockets at the store which is wrong in a 150 mile radius lol. then 10 something to ship, 5 tax brings it to 96 shipped. Still a good deal, but ill hold out for black Friday again or whenever they go on sale and buy in DE. Would love to have them, just not this minute. Have my eye on some other goodies :)

Craftsman 299 socket set that list for $479 can be had for $339 with the 15% off and the btctools15 discount. These are the sockets that are engraved and laser etched for easier reading. I bought the 348 mechanics tool set prior to this and the over quality was a bit lacking. Hopefully the 299 sockets are better.

I decided to try my luck with the $10 off coupon again today, and they're starting to clamp down on it. Of course it rang up expired, and the lady called a manager. She was talking about a memo she read this morning about another company sending SPAM emails to people with this coupon. They honored mine, but said they won't be honoring them anymore, and they will be resending updated email coupons. So I guess we get another crack at it.:bounce:

Anyway, I had this coupon burning a hole in my pocket, and after looking down every aisle for awhile, this Evolv extendable 3/8" drive ratchet kinda caught my eye:

00910033000

I figured for $10 (with coupon) it was worth a try.

The 8pc Ratcheting Reversibles can be had for 50% off [when purchased together]. The Metric set skips the 11mm and 16mm sizes but i'm a bit tempted still. One of the only ways left to find USA made ratcheting wrenches.

8pc Metric Reversible
8pc Standard Reversible

Use BTCTOOLS15 coupon and another $5 off like couponcabin, knocks the total down to around $95 for both sets. In store pickup is an option [YMMV on stock]. All discounts reflected in your cart.

I wouldn't be surprised if they eventually convert to china as well. I'd rather rock the gearwrenches personally. Plus they are on sale. Stack coupons like you did to make it better

True, not the best price, but still cheaper than the ones your looking at. Can't blame you on the USA made either... although gw ratchet wrenches are one thing I can overlook. Pull the trigger on the cman already, what are you waiting for :p

The gearwrenches were $39 before coupons last night.. I figured ill wait until today to order them and they jumped back up
:(

The 8pc straight non-reversing GW's were on sale for $34.99 thru yesterday.

Not sure if those are the ones you mean.

I bought the last "limited time only" 10pc metric set on the rack for $24.99 with coupon. That's an even better deal than the $29.99 10pc SAE set I bought from True Value last week.

I'm not sure how you got the price that low.. I added both to my cart and was no where close.

Ditto, but if you order them separately with the 5 off 50 from Coupon Cabin and the BTCTOOLS10, then it works out to $46.99 a set, which is $93.98 for both sets.

I tried this... everything looked great.. got the 46.99 total... but then when I went to actually process the transaction and select my payment method it said only 1 coupon can be used at a time.

You seem to be right. Very strange, I've never had that problem before, but it jumped back to $58.49 for me when I went to the checkout.

It was $117 then there was some phantom craftsman club member discount going on [around $22 it was] but it seems to be borked. Instead of taking money off it adds it because the sets are suppose to be $70. The additional discounts seem to be messing it up and causing the Cman club discount to turn from a negative [savings] into a positive [addition] to bump the total to 69.99 per set. Basically, its f'd and entirely impossible to get them below $70 per set if you're a Cman club member. I didnt notice until after i posted, ordered a couple anyway and did in store pickup and then submitted a support ticket. I wont pick them up until i get this resolved. The only way i would do this is with in store pickup you can return on the spot instead of dealing with arguing about shipping fees with some CSR in India. The pain in the *** part is the actual invoice doesnt display this flub so i had to take screen captures of the member savings ADDING money to the total to use as evidence.

I know a couple of guys in customer service by name that were very helpful the last time an issue like this popped up so hopefully they can help out.

The best part to this whole fiasco is if you arent a Cman club member you get them cheaper, even now with a reduced discount [10%, it was 15% off all tools last night].

I took advantage of the 15% off last night, plus the BTCTOOLS5 coupon code to pick up a 12 piece set of Wera Kraftform Plus screwdrivers for $76.03 shipped. Normal price is $79.99 plus tax and shipping, ended up saving about $16. Used a couple gift cards I had laying around and didn't pay a cent out of pocket :bounce:

Some of you may already know this but home depot appears to be offering a free M18 Battery with purchase of any M18 power tool. In some cases this means you will end up with 3 batteries for your tool instead of 2. Pretty good deal for someone in the market for a new tool.

My first post here, found these on amazon---

MK Morse HHB1232T100 12" Bi-Metal Hack Saw Blade 32TPI - 100 Pack

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000WNJFSS/?tag=atomicindus08-20

file sets are coming today, thank you forum posters!!!

Anybody order the hack saw 100 pack? Mine shipped but i just got an email from Toolfetch asking me to refuse the delivery because they processed my order incorrectly but will ship the correct item.

That is about all the info they gave. So did they ship me 10 instead of 100 or did they ship 100 and realize the Amazon page is wrong and it i supposed to be just 10? Or did they ship 1000 instead of 100?

We will see.

That Dewalt drill looks to be the same one sold at all the home center stores for $90-$100 during November/December holidays.

To be honest, for $100 I'd pass and spend a little extra for a compact drill with lithium ion batteries.

I would contest the charge with your CC or with Amazon.

Wow here is the response i got from toolfetch which is unacceptable if you ask me. But there is not much I can do I cant force them to send me my blades.

We apologize for the inconvenience; our warehouse has damaged stock we have to place another order with the manufacturer. There is not a estimated time of arrival as of yet.
Toolfetch will be issuing you a credit at this time.

Says DC 759 on the 18 volt one I got at Ace Hardware last year ~ $100.00 after $20.00 rebate.
So Yes, looks like the same drill.
Don't know what the KA stands for.
But It's probably the same.
Seems OK though, have not used it too much.
Never had the run out issue others have complained about in the reviews.
Thanks,
Tony
