Thanks for the pruning blade deal. Picked up a pack.

Thanks! picked me up a set. Last weekend i was using my sawzall with a regular 6" wood+nail blade to remove the stump of a shrub...and i was thinking there has got to be a better way! and here it is

Cool. Glad to be of help. I'm sure you'll be much happier with the pruning blade. It made short work of our tree cutting. Wish I learned about it sooner. Proceed with caution though, it's one sharp blade.

I bought the top chest a couple weeks ago for the $299 price. If i joined the ITC now I wonder if they would refund me the difference in the ITC $249 coupon price...

-Bp

In the fine print it says not valid on prior purchases AFTER 30 days from original purchase date with receipt. I'd give it a shot.

At first I thought you were talking about the Home Depots in Tampa...just a big ugly hole there...it was the same story here, just a little late.

anyone know the sku numbers of the husky ratch rench metric/standard sets. i am going to call around

I second the do not call advise.

Looks like they may still be on the website, SKUs 383594 and 387680. Looks like the website also has a store inventory checker on the page of each item, assuming these are the ones?

These are not the flex head ones. Went by mine they had none, not even a spot for them.
Did pick a vaugn hammer on clearance. Mine still has a ton of the hammers in stock.

noticed something nice on the sears site, they seem to have eliminated that "Online Only Price" restriction on a bunch of items so that sales and coupons effect them again. Never understood that brain dead move. It made some of the master sets of tools significantly more expensive than purchasing the individual sets on sale. But anyway, seems gone...hopefully for good.

I thought someone might find this useful from Home Depot.
Milwaukee Impact driver 18 Volt lithium ion kit
on sale and get a 3rd Redline Lith/Ion battery free ($69) value.
Impact on sale for $199 and use the coupon from Lowes ( get from Post office in change of address pkt) Home Depot take the Lowes coupon ( 10% off & Home Depot will accept it- price match)and you are $179 and get the free 3rd battery until mid May. In store only I assume. Big Milwaukee display out near cash registers right now.

Home Depot in Costa Mesa, CA, has a full rack of the Husky metric flex heads on clearance. Nothing else was on clearance. They are made in Taiwan. They are also incredibly short. Not stubby, but what Snap-on would call short. They are shorter than any wrench I have ever seen that is not a stubby. I bought them and they are so-so quality. Some defects in chrome and crummy ratcheting action. They appear to be 72 tooth. I'm actually considering returning them, and they are certainly not worth more than the 20 dollar clearance price. They are listed at a regular price of 80, which is a joke.

I wonder how you get these warrantied because I can guarantee you they will break. One of mine has bad chrome and in my experience trying to warranty tools at Home Depot is a pain. They are obviously not going to carry these any more so I suppose you are SOL on warranty.

Looks like Snap On has embraced dailysteals.com as a sales channel. Hurry, deal expires soon:

http://home.dailysteals.com/

Subtotal : $2.99 x 2 = $5.98
Shipping Charges : $9.98
Total Charges : $15.96

Subtotal : $2.99 x 5 = $14.95
Shipping Charges : $24.95
Total Charges : $39.90

$9.98 to ship 2 of them, $24.95 to ship 5 of them.
Probably not even "real Snap on"
No thanks,
Tony

The shelf was empty by 4:30pm. They even pulled the tags where I thought they would be (next to the non flex versions).
someone must have got them after me, I just happen to come upon them while in the store at ~3pm, came here to tell everyone about the sale and saw that it was already posted. based on the fact that they were make in Taiwan, the quality didn't look great, and I have a bunch of Gearwrench flexes I decided to pass on them...

someone else in the area fighting over the same deals... great, but it might just save me money!

Just got back from Westport Rd Home Depot in Louisville. Correct, those were not the ones. Metric is 511-617. I forgot to write down the SAE number. The shelf was empty but they had some in a box above the shelf (SKU marked on box). I picked up one Metric. Thanks for the heads up ZRX61.

Don't worry, I'm usually a several days behind on the deals it seems. I was there more to take a look and see if I'd like them. I've got a decent set of Gearwrench stuff and don't really have a need for much else.

My local Home Depot has the Klein 14/2 bent nose NM strippers on sale for 7.46 (normally ~$22). I almost never use 14 gauge wire, but it's a pretty good deal. I really like the 12/2 pair I have.

Looks like that tape measure is also sold at K-Mart, lol.

http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/p_10151_10104_00926526000P

And Sears/Kmart of course used the picture of a Skil router...

Better link:

But yes, this is most definitely china junk. I don't really understand this line of marketing... who are they trying to appeal to? I mean Loves gas station has "Snap-On" flashlights right next to the $2.99 "Ed Hardy" Koozies... that is what dying brands do... why in the world would elite Snap-On do this?

My local Lowe's (30101) had all their box-end open-end wrenches on sale for about 1/3 the normal price. I picked up sizes 11mm through 19mm for around $2.50-3.50each, versus the normal $7-12 each. They are the Kobalt brand, made in USA and lifetime warranty. Not a bad deal a'tall.

$10 off $30 Orchard Supply coupon expires today, link has a print PDF file with four on a page: http://dankicksass.posterous.com/osh-10-30-exp-05012011

I use these at Home Depot regularly, never a problem at the pro counter. Saw the new package Wiss USA-made tin snips there today, 3-pack is $29.99 in case you need a little inspiration. I needed some air line quick disconnects, took all the universal red/yellow label ones they had.
