I picked up a set of Gearwrench 1/4" pass thru socket sets (SAE and metric )for $9.99 each on sale at advanced auto. Not sure if I will use them but for the price they may come in handy.

BTW I also picked up a set of the US made 7pc kobolt locking flex head ratchet wrenches for $50 at lowest seem to be pretty nice.

I doubt they will match it since I'm sure the 20% discount will prompt a manager approval. I suppose it's worth a shot.

Just like I said I would, here I am to report my success with the harbor freight toolbox with 20% off using the online coupon posted above. I had my printout and started off by asking the employee at the register if they matched online prices. The manager was right behind him so he turned around and asked. The manager was like, "yeah we can match online prices, were the same store". Then they really didn't have a choice to not approve me  hahaha. The employee rang it up (there was an option on the computer for "internet" something, and he put it under that), then the manager came back over after grabbing the toolbox and did the override. No issue what so ever. My receipt picture blows (blame my phone), but you can make it out that it came to $279.99 from 399.99. The toolbox model number is 65831

On the down side... I got home and found the top lid on the top box was bent, so i did have to run back out and have it swapped back out. Oh well.. still made out well imho.

Craftsman 3/8 9pc Pinless Impact Swivel 10-18mm $100. COO USA, same pinless design as Matco. Retail is $230 and obviously a LOT more off the truck. Due to being a Craftsman online only item probably best suited to weekend wrenches as warranty would be restricted to mail only. Still a great deal.

The seller [cripe] seems to only have 1 set.

Yeah, I would have brought them right away.
That set is $230.00 at the sears web site.

I'll tell you why.
My sunnex are nice, but now I got the little 3/8" drive impact from harbor freight, I always forget and hold my hand around the socket, and on these, where the pin goes through and is peened down, there is no collar, and is smartz on your hand.
I will have to watch for those.
Thanks,
Tony

Sears has their Craftsman Professional mechanics gloves for $17 right now - http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00947559000P?prdNo=7&blockNo=7&blockType=G7

This is the lowest i have seen for a long while... These are my favorite gloves. I picked up 3 and used SEARS2011 to knock off another $5. And if you have a chase rewards card, log in through your chase rewards mall for 7% back too!

Get them in a color you like they are nice for riding a motorcycle too.
Thanks,
Tony

Please don't ride a bike without proper bike gloves. The threads are different materials and seams are different and they are designed to stay on in a crash.

Held gloves used to be among the best, but I think their former US distributor Helimot is now considered even better. And they are all USA made.

http://helimot.com/shopglovesdisplayproducts.asp?id=23&cat=Gloves

Expensive, but much cheaper than a hand.

Sears has 50% off for craftsman club members on the Craftsman Locking Flex head wrenches this week.

I snagged the last metric USA made set and a SAE set also USA made. Looks like these are going China as well as the remaining metric set was made in China.

normally $124.00 down to $62

I assume you went to the store and checked the inventory there before buying. If I purchase online what are the odds I would get Chinese product?

How does one find out about this type of special discount for Craftsman club members? I am a member but have never received any info on such special sales.

I got a mailer. Yes, I went to the store and brought the flyer with me. I didn't want to risk going through the hassle of having to return them if they weren't USA made.

If you can find the USA made sets of locking flex and CrossForce in stores during the 1/2 price Cman Club sale, that's a great deal !!

I can confirm that you will get a Chinese made set if you order online (home delivery rather than store pickup) for any of the wrench sets that are changing COO. That has been my experience, anyway. I was, however, able to call around to the local Sears stores and find USA-made sets, and exchanged them for the Chinese-made sets I received in the mail.

It seems the warehouses have the newer items and all of the older USA-made items are in stores.

Some sets are not changing COO, though, and continue to be made in the USA for now.

I don't get the Cman Club flyers in the mail, but I do print out the Cman Club web pages online, which show the CC prices, and bring them to the store for any items I plan to purchase. Lately, at $4 a gallon for gas, I call before driving to make sure they have the items in stock, and ask them to hold them for me while I drive there.

Thanks Obsessive. Where do you find the CC web pages online? I want to see if this shows the special prices on this wrench set, for example. It didn't appear for me until I logged in and placed it in my cart. I had no way of knowing, other than the post here, that that wrench set had a special discount.

If you log into Cman Club, there's a red box with a link that says "show all deals" or something to that affect. There you will see all the Cman Club deals. When you add them to your cart while logged into Cman Club, the discount will be subtracted at the bottom.

Also FYI, if you order over $50 worth, you can add coupon code "sears2011" for an additional $5 off. 2 sets of Cross-Force wrenches for $75 is unbelievable. Just make sure to do store pickup, and call ahead of time to make sure the store has the USA-made sets in stock. If the store pickup guys grab you Chinese-made sets, just exchange them when you get there.

From the Craftsman.com, sign in and ensure your Craftsman Club number is associated with your profile. In the top right, click on CRAFTSMAN CLUB. They have a few tabs to look under.

Thanks a lot guys. I had to get my account straightened out, but now I am finally able to see Craftsman club deals. Once the rep fixed my account the site changed and new buttons appeared!

Do the discounts that Sears.com has for online shopping work on the craftsman club deals?

CC seems like a PITA anymore. They never send the book anymore,
I think the last time I was at sears, they couldn't find my account...............
Thanks,
Tony

Swing by my local sears to see if they had any USA made flex head ratchets (the ones on sale for $62). They had maybe 6 sets of metric all not USA and 2 sae also not USA. Is there any other way to cash in on this deal but with USA ones?

Also posted this in the Lowes thread, but I remember a few members looking for these too:

My Lowes lowered the price on the Knipex Cobolt cutting pliers to $30. YMMV... awesome deal if you can get the same.

I called ahead to the next closest sears which is a little bit of a hike, and they checked to find no USA made ones there either.

Is this deal worth getting even with the non-USA version? Any noted difference in quality?

If anyone's sears has any in stock, and you want to pick them up for me that would be awesome. I'll of course pay shipping, and a little extra to cover gas/etc. PM me if interested :)
