Hobart has a 140 that runs off 110/120 Volt, about $700 or less and Blains Farm and Fleet. Great little machine, I'd guess it's comparable to the Miller 140.

Hi ahm:
They called me - I didn't call them. Wonder if there is a difference in where the call goes or comes from.

Good luck - and keep us posted - here or in the new Thread that was started..

I ordered one of each a little while ago. Picking them up at the local store to save on the shipping. I'm hoping this is the real deal! Many thanks to the OP!

It's funny, I think this thread single handedly kills some of these error in pricing deals. I can't imagine how many orders for this welder have gone through just due to this thread. Probably raises suspicion at grainger. An error that may have taken a few days for them to realize probably took them a matter of hours.

Assuming this is an actual error, where it does show up under their "hot buys" category, there's almost no doubt that folks who have no use for whatever item just gotta have it now that everyone else is buying one, as well as those buying multiples for whatever reason, greatly increase the chances that any of these deals may not be honored.

I think hopes are about to be dashed (mine included). Oh well I'll try again with the 140 if they cancel it

Yeah but, "you" wouldn't know about it if it weren't for this thread(and others).

I searched for the Miller part number and we aren't the only thread.

Oh no, I didn't mean it like that. I was just saying that it's funny. This thread can be a blessing and a curse.

I ordered the Miller 180 and don't know **** about welding.

My Dad got his welding certificate just before he died suddenly. He was going to handle the welding for "our" projects.

But I always wanting to learn, since things come up, and I figure I can't go wrong here.

My dad always called Mig welders "welding in a spray can"

So I'll get some books and start reading!

That is, if this actually goes through!

Well I put in a Will Call since it will take a few days. I get free shipping and usually a price discount but it didn't give me one on this :) haha. Crossing my fingers as I REALLY could use this soon. Would sure beat loading up dads MM210. That damn things heavy.

Wish I had checked this earlier.

Don't see how this is going to work out though. Here's to hoping, and maybe a corporate account will help :)

This is not a mistake, nor is it a new deal. It has been listed on the Grainger site since at least 5-29. You can verify this yourself by doing a google search for Miller 1TKC5. When your search results come up, find the Grainger link but DO NOT CLICK ON IT. Instead, click on the 'cached' link at the end of the entry. Check the date on the page that opens.

This SKU includes the cart, hose, and regulator, but does not say that it includes:

Power Cord And Plug
Gun And Cable Assembly
Work Cable And Clamp
Spool Of Wire
Contact Tips

That said, it's still a great deal. Just don't be shocked when you have to spend another $300 or so to get a complete welder.

That Grainger part number lists the manufacturers number as 951374.

That part number is a complete welder setup.

All this is included:
Power Cord And Plug
Gun And Cable Assembly
Work Cable And Clamp
Spool Of Wire
Contact Tips

Well, after some more checking I have to agree that it looks like a complete unit:

Miller 951374 Millermatic 180 Autoset W/Run Gear/Cyl Rack

Item #: MI951374
Condition: New

Compare At: $1,132.00
Our Price: $913.30

Miller Electric # 951374

Millermatic 180 Auto-Set

New! Auto-Set is a breakthrough control that automatically sets your welder to the proper parameters. Auto-Set offers all-in-one MIG, minus the guesswork!

Welds thickest material in its class, with the highest output in its class! Can weld up to 5/16 inch in a single pass.

New spool gun compatible! Finally a reliable and economical way to weld aluminum. Hooked up to a Millermatic 180 or 180 with Auto-Set, the new Spoolmate 100 Series spool gun allows you to weld from 18 gauge to 1/4 inch aluminum.

Manual Mode has the flexibility to manually set weld parameters for broader applications.

New! Smooth-Start patent-pending technology provides a smooth, spatter-free start. The best starting machine in the small MIG category. No pop-gun starts or spatter to clean up.

Durable cast aluminum feed head incorporates dual groove quick-change drive roll and spring-loaded tension arm with calibrated tension knob all designed to make setup easier and faster.

Thermal overload protection shuts down the unit and activates over temperature light if airflow is blocked or duty cycle is exceeded. Automatically resets when fault is corrected and unit cools.

Miller's exclusive "Tip Saver" short circuit protection shuts down output when tip is shorted to the work. Extends contact tip life and protects internal components from damage. Trigger reset permits quick reset at torch rather than unit.

Standard built-in solid-state contactor circuit makes wire electrically "cold" until trigger is pulled. Makes unit safer, and is easier to position torch to work before starting weld.

Easy access to output studs provides convenient polarity changeover when switching from solid or flux cored wires.

Self-resetting motor protection circuit eliminates the need to find and replace fuses.

Uses 4 or 8 in (102 or 203 mm) spools and can be set up to weld with wire sizes .024-.035 in (0.6-0.9 mm) mild/stainless steel and .030-.045 in (0.8-1.2 mm) flux cored

Considering that the part number listed on Grainger's site decodes to a MM180 w/Autoset and basically everything except the bottle, I think it's safe to presume that the Grainger buy is the same thing since it's the same number.

I get this error when trying to add the deal priced welder to my cart via the cached google search.

"The item number 1TKC5 was not found. Please try a different item number."

Otherwise when searching on Grainger for the MM180 it is item number 5GVY9 for $1105.

Ill check back later.

Yea.. The deal is dead. It'd be a stretch to even call it a deal since no welders probably ever shipped..

Either that, or they were clearing out the old model without Autoset even though the product listing showed the new model and those are now gone.

I'll be mad if i missed this one.

I ordered an unbreakble hammer from them and it wasn't showing in order history either. I was like WTF but then they showed up on the UPS truck. That order STILL doesn't show up under my order history. The welder is listed as backordered for my order status.
