They showed as $4.10 the first time I opened the page and then $3.75. I just drove to the store and needed two sales associate to locate them (they were very helpful and have always been very helpful to me in the past). Web site said they had 2 in stock, their computer said 3.

They had 3 indeed, I bought 2. Now the web shows out of stock, though they still have one left... so lesson learned... if I want an item and it shows out of stock, call the store, they may have it!

I also love the email your receipt since I keep a database of all my tools (with receipts, user/service manuals, images, ...) and it means I can just make a PDF from the email and not have to scan the receipt.

I got 2 sets as well, thanks for the heads up.

8 sets were listed in stock when I ordered it for pickup on the site around 1:00 PM. When I walked in around 3:00 PM, I spotted a set on the shelf of clearance items. I grabbed it thinking I should hold onto it in case I can't find a second one, but I was a in-store pickup virgin and apparently I needed to go to merchandise pickup and have them collect the items for me, so I put it back. Well, long story short, someone else grabbed the set and went to checkout, and the clerk had to stop him from buying it and gave 'em to me because I had already paid. And on my way out, one of the employees was holding a few sets in a bag too telling me what he just scored. Got home and checked, all out of stock in the area.

Sorry about the Lowes pressure washer deal. I bought one on Friday using the coupon with no problem. I found the code online and thought I would share. It does not seem to be working.

I was in Menards a bit ago and they have the 5pc Greenlee screwdriver set - $9.99 again Reg price is $29. Looked like they only had 4-5 sets left in my store...not sure if they are just clearing them out or it's all stores. I bought some last time and they are not to bad..made in Taiwan I believe.

thanks, just picked up a set.

Use the coupon code "P20" for an extra 20% off (-$3.00 off on this item) and in-store pick up too so no shipping costs.

I ended up with a set of metric for $12.71 (that includes MD sales tax)

I just got a SAE set and a Metric set, for $21.49. Was 2 cents shy of $30.00 to use code A123, added Dorman Pic A Nut 3 piece cotter pins, # 312114 for 29 cents.
So $30.27, - $10.00 = $20.27 & Tax. Total $21.49 (in-store pick up too)
Thanks,
Tony

For anyone who misses this deal, code BIG35 will get you $35 off $85 all the time (or at least it has for the last few months) and the percentage discount is pretty close to the same. I use it all the time... like right now Wearever brake parts cleaner is on sale for $1.88 so with the code you can get it for close to $1.00 per can.

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/we...eaner-Wearever_7040598-P_N3221_T|GRP2008_____

this is great. just bought 48 cans of brake cleaner for $1.25 per can after tax that is normally 3.99 per can and is now on sale for $1.88. ill stock up again next week as cheapest i can get a can of decent cleaner is $2.50 4 cases should last me through summer. 8 cases for rest of the year!

The local Menards did not have this set but they have the 7 pc set at regular price.

There is a single 1/4" x 8" square shank flat balde on clearance for $2 (regular $10). There is also a GreenLee 12" adjustable wrench for $10 (regular $20).

I won't use that much, but I might just go for 16 cans.

Comes to about $1.33 per can, I'll use the A123 for $10.00 off.

Is the Wearever good Brake Klean?

Anyone know how long the A123 code is good for?

Thanks,
Tony

I am a neat freak and burn through at least one can per job on any type of assembly work. be honest, i use brake cleaner mostly for cleaning engines than on actual brakes. Sloppy oil mess engines i will pressure wash or fill a jug w/ parts washer solvent, try to get the bulk off then brake clean. still, i burn it up. can never be too clean on assembly.

i have used it today while doing a t-belt pump job on a v6 a4 that was leaking like a civ. talking leaking 1 qt of oil every 1k miles!!! the plug holes were filled w/ oil and flowing down the valve covers. thats how bad this engine was.

this stuff worked pretty damn good. better than the napa blue label cleaner which my cost is 1.98 a can. i refuse to use it because it *****. Works about the same as the napa/crc red label cleaner before they changed chemicals. that regularly runs me $3 a can. Im definitely stocking up at work with this as well as my home garage.

i got part # W7341.

as for deals-- the 35 off 85+ is 41% savings. the 25 off 60 is 41% savings as well. those are the two highest savings. everything else is in the 20-30 percent range.

Nice!

Was going to go that route (going over $30 to use the A123 code), but I decided I'll only ever use the metric set.

Shoot, if I had a 17mm ratchet wrench, I could tear down my entire commuter car (Honda Civic) with just a set of wrenches! :lol_hitti

Info on the bostich deal please. Went back several pages and didnt see any. Thanks. Im getting my air chisel tommorw:bounce::pimpflash:bounce:

Buy any item on the end cap (at my store it was not near the other levels, but closer to the air toold), and get the torpedo level "free".

The dual blade utility knife is on sale for $7.98. So for that price you get it and the $19+ torpedo level. The bostich tape measures are $10. I'm thinking about stopping by tomorrow for another one.

I'll add that I bought that air hammer almost 9 years ago at lowes for $50. It had no chisels with it and the old crappy spring for holding the chisels. It still works, although the air regulator on it has died. The knob just spins has lots of side to side play. Its a good hammer and at that price with those extras its a great hammer.

Too bad I just bought another one or I would have been all over that deal

Agree about the lowes level deal. Pretty awesome. I picked up two of them.

I went by and picked up the dual blade knife... I've been eyeballing that level for a while now, but didn't want to pony up the cash since I already had a checkpoint g3. I thought the knife was gimmicky, but once I got it loaded with a standard blade and a hook blade, it grew on me instantly. Its going to replace my main bench knife.

Same thing I was thinking, but after playing with it and the two types of blades (hook & straight) I thought this is pretty nice.

The level is a little bit of a disappointment. When the side adjustable level is set to zero it is off compared to the fixed level up top. Not much - about 1-2 degree. Maybe the one I got is the exception. You can certainly make it work by knowing how much to offset.

Just picked up the air hammer from AAP. I got the floor model though. Has two rusty fingerprints on it.

I got the air hammer as well... I picked up the two gearwrench sets with it, and used the big 25 coupon. I got all three items for $39. One of the best deals I've gotten in a long time. :D

Yeah its a pretty neat knife. I thought my level was off at first, but then I set it on a known level surface and adjusted it until the bubbles were matched, and it read almost dead on zero. It isn't perfect, or what I would call a precision tool, but it definitely is good enough to use for general fabrication.

Same here

For all those that bought the Bosch ps-20/ps-21. Does a regular quick connect bit kinda move around alot? I noticed today mine seems to have quite a bit of play when using a bit holder and 1'' bit trying to aim down and unscrew something. I handled a Makita 10.8 screwriver today and it holds a similar bit very snug. Pics in order. Thanks

Over a 1/4'' of play. Drill did not move. Feel free to PM me to keep this uncluttered. THANKS

CAnt say Ive put a bit holder in mine yet, but I will check later tonight. Why not just put the bit into the driver?

I usually have to fit in a tight area where a 1'' bit would not work for me. I need the extension no matter what drill I use. Appreciate the response and Bosch says it is the "Nature of the Tool."

with the power bits, and the notch, there is slightly more play than with the impact bits, but i don't recall any of mine being that much. ill have to check. there is some play in the chuck itself - which i don't think there is anyway for an end user to remove. i can't say that it has really affected use of the tool though. it more or less allows the bit to just float in there as needed. for drilling, center punching is probably a good idea though.

Appreciate the response. I got a great deal on it but it kinda gave me a hard time today trying to get on a small screw. I modified a standard bit holder and seems to fix the problem. I cut off the end and cut grooves in it like a 1'' bit. However I do not like that i need to modify the accesories and rig it...

I checked mine (doing what you did, and pushing the bit holder left and right, not the actual bit). 1/16" on the PS21, less than 1/16" on the PS41 (it has a different chuck if that's what it's called), and less than 1/16" on my 18V Makita impact driver (a little tighter than the PS41). Those measurements are total side to side play, where you measured yours to be 1/4".

I use a Wera bit holder and I got the same side to side play. There is also the bit holder in and out play.

Please let us know if you find a bit holder that will fit snugly. Frankly speaking this play does annoy me.
