How did you find out there's a deal and how do you get the deal? So the 5gal tank qualified as an "air compressor" for the purposes of the deal?

Just put it in the shopping cart and you'll see the discount. Apparently they are counting the air tank as a "compressor"...for now. I saw this in store the other week...wish I knew and air tank qualified...would have saved more on the hose reel than the tank would have added to the bill. :(

Exactly. And yes, apparently the air tank counts. It surprised me when I noticed it was offering me a discount on the impact. I was willing to spend $18 for it, but with the discount, it was irresistible (even if it's not the best impact in the world).

BTW, another good deal from my purchase:

Retractable Cord Reel with 30 ft. Extension Cord, http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_...rioptype=SRS&sid=IExTransSearsStoreReady&eml= - $22.47 (after discount)

This post inspired me to purchase the Ingersol Rand TiMAX2135 1/2" impact for 185 bux. I added the 5 gallon tank at a cost of around 27 bux and then the impact. Used my 5% AAA discount to get it down to those prices.

Grand total with tax is 227.47 for the TiMAX2135 and the 5 gallon tank.. and I may just return the tank haven't decided.

sears.com -- pick up in store.

You need to buy the 5 gallon craftsman tank listed in a previous post and then also add the TiMAX2135. You'll get 25% off the IR... then use your AAA discount (www.aaa.com) for another 5% off.

Then you can just return the 5 gallon tank...if you don't want it.

Does anyone know how long Sears will hold onto items if you do the store pickup? My closest one is out of stock and I can't get to the other one for a few days or so....

My guess is that if you've already purchased the item and opted for store pickup, then they have to rightfully hold it for you till you arrive, be it that afternoon or three days from now.

Then again, I am not exactly sure...so you should prob. call your Sears store you're wanting to pick it up at and get a definitive answer!

Thanks for the post on the HF Earthquake impact wrenches.

I picked up the 1/2" gun and the 3/8" & 1/2" ratchets. Used a 20% off coupon on all three by making three trips through the checkouts...AND got 3 more free flashlights.

I just picked up two 63 piece Kobalt socket sets at Lowe's for $24.95 each that were on sale from $50. I known they are not made in the USA, but they make perfect gifts for the non-tool guys in the family.

They also had a set of 3 Irwin vice grip package on sale for $14 down from $30.

I thought I remember 7 days or so somewhere off the website. I tried calling one an hour away to ask them to hold it longer, but gave up being shuffled around from agent to clueless agent and hung up the phone (they really are incompetent). I'm going past 11 days now and still haven't received a refund notification.

I'd be afraid they would revert the discount if you returned the tank.

Wasn't that long, but I ordered mine Monday, and didn't pick up till today(Sunday).
Forwarded the e mail to work so I could print it, but they didn't even ask for it.
Just needed the credit card I used.
They seem pretty decent, esp. for >$20.00.
Mine came to $18.18 Total cost.

Was in Home Depot yesterday picking up some stick-n-peel for a car audio project. As always I check the clearance section and the other section by the customer service where they seem to always put the really cheap tools (dog bone wrench).
Week I found this spotlight for 9.88, ever since the walmart deal I have been looking for one. I grab it and look it over. It's got a 1led light, rechargeable, wall charger, car charger, and a dimmer switch. Since it only had 1 led I did not get my hopes up.
Boy was I wrong, this thing is bright and it shines at least 2 blocks+. Then I was worried about how long a charge would last, so last night at 9:45 I turned it on. I did turn the brightness down a couple notches, because honestly I did not think it would last long. Fast forward 10 hours and its still going strong.
Needless to say, I am going to go pick up another one later.

Off topic, but facepalm on the peel 'n seal. 25% coverage with the right material costs the same or less and does a better job with less mess/smell.

Yeah, I was thinking this too. Terrible idea to use peel N seal.

Depends. I'd 100% recommend someone use peel-n-seal over Dynamat. B-Quiet, Second Skin, etc? Yeah, better, but more expensive, too. Plus, if you're just doing something small, PNS can be a lot more cost-effective.

Yeah but it doesn't work worth ****, doesn't adhere worth ****, and (depending on brand) smells terrible.

None of it is going to be as good as using an actual constrained layer damping material made of a heavy metal foil and a butyl rubber adhesive layer. Given how much better the proper material works, you actually use less of it than you do of the cheap **** and therefore end up spending less money, putting less weight into your car, and getting less pissed off. The result is better, too.

Worked fine when I used it years back, and was still sticking when I sold the car a couple years later. *shrug* Not nearly as good as the real audio damping stuff, but it did what it needed to.

Those are on clearance for the same price at my HD...but being $15 retail i am/was pretty skeptical... my current lights are all Surefire/Fenix/Streamlight... I assume that will be apples to oranges?

Got any pics of the light being thrown?

I can see what I can do when it gets dark. I guarantee you won't be disappointed in them though. Hard to go wrong for 10 bucks.

Do you think these would make a good inspection light when working under a car, say it's up on the lift, to look at the brake's and the like?

Armstrong 8pc. ratcheting wrench set, 5/16" to 3/4", reversible.

This set normally costs $200+... $35 BIN + ship. I already got a set for myself a couple days ago.

Said and done. I wouldnt have jumped on it but I dont have any standard size gearwrenches and thats not a bad price on a set of reversables...I dont think its a $200 set though....edit holy **** those are over $200....gearwrenches are way cheaper! Thanks for the steal
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_...21x00003a&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=00983572000P and this set doesnt have the 5/16
