Is it free shipping to the store only? Or free shipping to your house if you want?

Sorry, should have clarified. Free shipping to your house only. (It is literally just like the Sears.com website you visit from home, but it just doesn't charge shipping.

I've been shopping the C3 1/2" impact and one thing or another has kept me from buying it. Last one was "online only" no in store pickup only shipped. So I got the bright idea to stop by Sears and use the kiosk, but something about it wouldn't work. I can't remember if it would not show the online only deals, or just wouldn't accept my Craftsman Club or any other discounts.

Kiosk is shipped to your home free.

Really? I bought the CMan Pro 5 pc pry bar set, with online discount, $5 coupon code, and craftsman club without issue. But i guess that isnt 'online only' like some of the deals. The Sears website isnt exactly great anyways...

They have a whole section b/c the forum owner automatically monetizes all those links.

They didn't use to, they had the forum well before the ad links went in. The ad links are pretty new, probably within the last year.

I only had the non indexing ones, so 11 in I think? Look at the condition of the box, I think someone dropkicked it or something, I hope they broke their damn toes. I want my damn ratchets.

The box that had my flex looked similar but was still in there thankfully. Wasn't wrapped or anything, just like yours. The box with the std 1/2 came fine and the ratchet was wrapped good in bubble wrap. I agree it ***** though.

Sears has two zippered tool bags 16" and 20" both for $9.99 right now.

Lots of 5 star reviews.

Those are a good deal! I picked them up at the same price a couple of years ago, and they have come in handy numerous times since! Unfortunately I'm pretty sure the COO is China.

I saw those too in the "Exclusive Member Deals" flyer for the up coming sale Dec 9-15.

Also in that flyer is a couple of sets of impact sockets, standard and deep, but a closer look shows they are Evolve sockets. The standard 10pc set is $14.99 and the deep 10pc set is $19.99, (both SAE and metric).

Anyone have experience with those Evolve impact sockets?

Thanks,
Steve

Once you are subscribe, just I just go to my "User CP" .
If there are any new threads, it will show up there.
Then , in case you don't know, if you click on the little upside down triangle to the left of the post, it will take you to your last un read post.
I did the e mail notice thing for a while, but it drove me crazy.
I keep a User CP tab open the whole time.

In another forum I read that uses the same software, when I click on my email notification, it takes me to the point in the thread that I last click through to. So, let's say post 100 was there last time I got a notification and there have been 125 posts total since the last time I read the thread, my clicking on the link in the email will bring me straight to post 100.

In this software, it brings me to the end. I have to sometimes back up 2-3 pages to get to where I left off.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong, but can't figure it out...

FWIW, the HF in Gaithersburg MD has a large bin full of steel pneumatic Female quick connects on clearance (77 Cents/ea). I dug through the bin and found 6 that work with my Milton connectors (M-style). They look OK; no idea how they work, I’m going to be using them for in an air tool rack that I’ve wanted to build

That is strange. In your example, this site brings me to post 100. UNLESS I have visited the site on my own since I received the email (ie I received the notification email, didn't open the link in the email right away, but before I did open the link, I happened to open garagejournal to check reviews on a tool, closed garage journal, clicked the link in the email later in the day, and now it would not bring me to the post it describes in the email, it will be bring me to the latest post (if there was one) since I left after checking reviews on the tool.

The link in the notificaiton email is not linking to the specific post it quotes in the email or anything like that... it is a special link that brings you to the newest post in the thread since you last visited any part of the garage journal forum, whether you viewed the subscribed thread/post or not. It is not a link to the newest post since the last time you visited the thread you are being notified for. Each notification email actually contains the exact same link... you could click the link from any notification email (for the same thread) and it would bring you to the same place, which again is the newest post in the thread since you last visited any part of the garage journal forum. I hope this is not too confusing of an explanation.

In an ideal world, it would keep track of whether or not you actually visited the particular thread, but it doesn't, so if you ever visit the GJ forum and do not view the threads you are subscribed to, you kind of break the notification functionality wind up missing a bunch of posts if you don't scroll up.

ahhh...that explains it. I also have an RSS of the classifieds and sometimes click through there. That must mess it up.

The funny thing is that tdiclub.com, using what appears to be the same software, doesn't exhibit that behavior. I subscribe to multiple threads and it always takes me to the last thread read...even though I visit that site multiple times per day.

thanks for the info...at least it's explained now :)

Even worse, . . . different computers use different browsers and operating systems, and then the users' settings yadda-yadda. Designing a website isn't easy these days! :)

Heads-up: later on Amazon, there will be two Wera lighting deals, a multi-bit screwdriver and a Koloss ratchet.

Oh, ****. I keep looking at the Koloss ratchet and my left hand has to pull my right hand off the mouse to keep from hitting the submit button. This may push me over the edge!

Not really a deal per se, here are details about a DIY survey opp. First 100 to qualify through a quick 2-min survey get their first survey right away with a $10 gift card incentive.

Now full.
Update: initial survey is completed, but I've been told that there will be on-going initiatives and offers to those who take the 2-min survey to register and qualify for the panel.

If you do buy one, be sure to consider the extension as well. The combo is longer than most extra-long breaker bars!

Where is your source of the list? The list on SlickDeals for today doesn't show it.

@Stuey

Did you order your Bosch Combo while it was still on stock with Amazon?
Yes. It was supposed to arrive 11/29 but was pushed back to 12/1 and then 12/5.

I posted the relevant details here: Wera screwdriver & Koloss deal details via TG

And yes, I saw the notice on Amazon's lightning deals page. Over at ToolGuyd, at the top of the right side-bar there's a link that says "Amazon holiday flurry tool deals", previously "Cyber week deals". It's not just there for readers' convenience, I use it too a couple of times a day. :bounce:

Other ways of getting to that page is by going to Amazon, navigating to the tool/home improvement section, then clicking on the "deals and bargains" link at the top right.

Hello Victor,

Thank you for contacting Grainger.

I found that the part number was marked as discontinued in error. Our Product Management Team was having some difficulties with this part number which are now resolved. The part number is now available however, we currently have no stock. I have re-opened your order and the product will ship as soon as we receive inventory from the manufacturer. Unfortunately, we have no estimated time of arrival at this time. If you no longer need the order please let me know and I will cancel the backorder. I apologize for the inconvenience and confusion we have caused.

What is the selling point of that "Wera Koloss 1/2″ Ratchet"?
Just combine a hammer and a 1/2 ratchet? But everybody has hammers and ratchets.

Yes. It was supposed to arrive 11/29 but was pushed back to 12/1 and then 12/5.

Officially, yes. Lots of users use their ratchets to nudge fasteners and other items into position. The Koloss is designed to endure and shrug off that abuse.

In my opinion, the Koloss is a kick-*** ratchet. It is built like a tank, and with the separate extension it becomes a monster of a ratcheting breaking bar.

BUT it's not well suited for casual lighter duty tasks since it lacks a traditional reversing mechanism. To reverse the ratchet, you flip it over and push the square driver over the other side.

A few people emailed me about the panel being closed. The panel is still open for signup. It's just the first survey that comes with a $10 reward that's been closed.

I've been told that there will be many more opportunities and incentives, although I'm not sure what they will be. My guess is that there will be additional $10 GC survey incentives at the very least.
