Advance Auto Parts (AAP) has the Peak 900 Amp Jump Starter for $49.99
Add a Small filler such as a nut (Dorman - Autograde Speed Nuts Part No: 45423 PKCOAZ)
Use Coupon A123 for $20 of $50
Total ~ $30 (Thanks to jsmiley1127 on FW)

Peak 900 Amp Jump Starter $49.99 + Filler - $20 Coupon = $30

Doesn't work for me. Same problem as last time:
"Hot Item! This item is not eligible for futher promotional discounts, coupons or special offers. While Supplies Last. "

It IS the January issue front cover looks like this.

The magazine is $5.99 tho so depending on how much you want to save. A few dollars doesn't add up spending $6 on the magazine.

I couldn't find this issue so when I got to the store, I copied a picture of the coupon page you posted to my smart phone and showed the clerk the ad. She tried to scan my phone which didn't work, so she pulled the coupon page from under the register and got the creeper for my 7 year old to get under the cars with me. It was on sale for $29.99 in the store but got it for $17.99 for $12 savings. Then used the 20% off for a Centex autoranging meter that wasn't on sale for $39.99 for another $8 savings. She threw in a free 6 piece set of screw drivers because I spent over $50 (had another small item) - my son was very happy with his first set of screwdrivers!

Just ordered the 3pc pry bars. Thanks pooogy. Missed them last time.

Must have been in store also, they were marked down to $20.00, but they were out of them.
Picked up my 2 sets of Gear wrench Standard Flex wrenches.
They had the 4 piece extension set for $10.00 , but I passed on it.
Had I think it started at 8MM full polish metric wrench set, was around $100.00, but did say Made in USA, on the package at least. Looked pretty well made.
Took back 3 of the Craftsman AA flashlight's I got on Black Friday.

Sears has their Craftsman 12 piece metric and standard Craftsman Nutdriver set Reg 39.99 now 19.99 and with the extra 15% off today is 16.99 Always wanted a set of these and just got them!

Those are Handy, just ordered a set.
Can't beat the price.
Thanks,

The three pc Prybars are pretty stout, I've owned a couple of the HF sets and bought them when they're $5.99 and they don't compare to these nice red handled mosters from CM, I thought they were a pretty good deal @ $19.99!

Thanks for the heads up on all the great deals!
Just caught a couple sears sale items. Prybars, socket extention set.
Everything was cheaper when added to cart but a couple bucks.

The Craftsman 4 pc. Metric Open End Ratcheting Wrench Set dropped from 14.99 to 12.50 when added to cart. Thats $3.12 a wrench. I know they are gimmicky and only are useful in some certain situations, but I couldnt pass them up at that price.

Thanks to everybody who discussed the Sears sale. I thought the prices were good through tomorrow, then read here that the 15% only applied today, so I just bought the 3/8 extensions. I wish it was the 1/2 extensions that were on sale, but for $8.50, I'll take an extra set of 3/8!

Sale over, auction done.

BTW-I was one of the lucky ones that got the original 32gb hp touchpad for $149 but waited a loooooooong time to get it. Had it now for about 6wks, great lil tablet. In fact hp just sent me a deal on accessories too, ordered the case for it and it showed up next day fedx for $19.99

Man, I was thinking about picking something like this up. How does it run when you inevitably open a dozen pages or so? Was yours a refurb?

Nice Firehawk BTW. I was considering the Ronal Firehawk wheels for my Formula350.

Thanks, those Ronals are nice are HTF!
Mine was in the first HP blowout that caused all the commotion, it is brand new, it works great but to be honest I have never had that many pages open on it, really works great for what it is, perfect for watching my big tv and surfing at the same time. Keep it in my lap to catch those "hotdeal" emails...LOL

any deals for stubby flex head gearwrenches? have been trying for sometime to find a metric set on sale w/ no luck

Can't do flex head, but we can to stubby:

8 piece GearWrench stubby combination set, $29.74
Metric
Fractional

For us BAD- BAD- ALIENS living down under in OZ, prices for that sale was 31.80 for the GW flex sets, and 28.90 for the XL cross beams, my orders just got cancelled outright-no explanation why after a week either--they just made up as many excuses as they could possibly think of not to honor my orders, you would think a simple email informing someone who placed an order of any problems, they would at least have the decency to let you know--notachance.

Is this sale underway?, I thought it said starting Monday

Started on 6 pm PST, supposedly 5,000 refurb units, last one sold at 6:05 PST.

Lots of people were waiting for it to start, slickdeals had more than 10,000 active viewing the thread.

I refreshed my HP store page a couple seconds past 6:00, clicked on buy it now as soon as the page came up (minutes later), but glitched as MANY did at the paypal screen where it refused to believe I have a phone number already in my profile, which would not correct until almost 6:20. A few minutes beyond that the ebay computers started figuring out all the touchpads were sold twenty minutes earlier and reported invalid item number.

My paypal total with tax and shipping was $180 USD, and I'm not sorry I missed out, too much for a 90 day refurb.

I ran into a Dewalt rep a few years back. Dewalts definition of reconditioned is "reconditioned and factory overstock". I've purchased recon units at a local dealer that come out of the box looking new...because they were. I don't know if that holds true for other places but that's the only way I can think of that you could recon a plastic tray.

Does that nextec impact driver REALLY come with the drill as well? The lead image says so, but then you click through and only the driver is shown, no drill. Classic Sears blunder or real deal?

has anyone used the craftsman set? Is it any good?

I got the bosch deal a few weeks ago, and really like that impact, but a 90 degree impact would be nice also--and who can't use another cordless drill sitting around. . .

I've bought tons of refurb items of all different types of items, not just tools. Not one item has looked used (or given me an issue for that matter) -- they all looked brand new. I think the manufacturers make it a point to make even the true refurbs look new before selling them. I'm not saying that used looking refurbs aren't out there, only that I haven't ran across one in dozens of items over the years.
