Re: 5 Drawer HF cart for 149

Still not working.

I wonder if the link changes because it goes to a forum which is constantly updating? Anyway, the link just goes to that image - nothing else. So you can just copy it from here.

Edit: Yikes - I see my image is gone as well now. Oops.

That SK socket/ratchet deal. WOW.

Just what I needed...day late. Great thread BTW:

(If someone is snatching these up to profit off members, they are a complete jerk...hopefully that's not happening.)

And if you look at the majority of their posts they are to sell stuff.....

One incredibly generous member PMed me and is selling me both a sae and metric set at what he paid.

There may be some bad apples, but there sure are some good ones on here that more than make up for it. I've spoken to at least 3 really good guys and I've only been on here 2 days.

BTW was they anyone who couldn't get the Home depot deal for channel lock pliers? They were about $10.00 - 15.00 on each pair of pliers. Only a select few. Fencing, crimpers, cutters and something else.

i wanted the crimpers but cant find them

The 909? They are $10.00 at my HD so $16.00 after shipping and paypal fees. Not a huge deal if that's the only pair you want. I'm thinking about buying a bunch and selling sets at cost so shipping 3-4 pairs for $5 is a lot better of a deal. Ill check today and let you guys know tonight.

Nate, id take 2 crimpers... i usually buy 2 when i find a great deal, i throw one in my toolbox and the other in a box i fill during the year for birthdays and xmas gifts for my buddys i exchange with.

I stopped by one this evening and got the last crimper, so some of the stores still have them. I'll check a different tomorrow during lunch, I'd like to find the cutters.

I found my 2 when i stopped at a random Home Depot today... thanks anyways... i got the last 2 otherwise i would have grabbed the rest for people here.

are the thin line ratchets for sale still? I just found some at my ace hardware today and they were all USA, all the SEARS have are Taiwan.

Also, worth a look locally, if you have an ACE locally that carries Craftsman, they are getting PE out of the way and have some pretty good overstock and clearance sales on Craftsman and Ace Hardware (same warranty) tools. but it varies location to location. I almost bought three sets of 3/8 drive std 6pt sockets today for 9$ each but i resisted the urge.

How does the Matco 88 ratchet compare with corresponding Snap-On ratchet? such as F80, S80?
I think in the view of price, Matco is cheaper.

If anyone else is willing to do the same, I'd be much obliged. I need a metric and sae set. Day late and dollar short, story of my life, haha.

My ladder order got cancelled too. No new ladders for me I guess. :(

I guess websites don't have to abide by the same policy store fronts do, where if you buy it and they tell you it actually costs more it's considered bait and switch and is considered fraud.

"In the United States, courts have held that the purveyor using a bait-and-switch operation may be subject to a lawsuit by customers for false advertising, and can be sued for trademark infringement by competing manufacturers, retailers, and others who profit from the sale of the product used as bait" - Wikipedia

If you REALLY want that ladder...

I just got the same thing. I think they just ignored it and hoped people would go away. Eventually they had to pull the plug.

I just received my thin profile ratchet set from Sears. They look and feel nice, unfortunately there are no markings on the packaging or ratchets indicating where they are made... I assume I have an import set. Anyone have good luck exchanging them in a store for the USA made versions?

I received my craftsman thin set. Mine were USA made loose wrenches in a nondescript cardboard box.

Brad, give it a try, there's nothing to lose but time.

Jesus, yeah. Get a lawyer, go to town. See how that works out for you.

Read the fine-print of the websites in question, they give themselves an out, with disclaimers that they're not required to honor pricing mistakes, etc.

Home Depot has the Ryobi 13 inch 15 amp Wood Planer SKU 348-277 for an incredible price of $57.03 :scared: Marked down from $229.

Obviously YMMV, and it appears to be in store only.

Yeah, it is made in China, and yeah, it is a Ryobi and not a Dewalt, but for that price it is a smokin' deal.

I had to take the display model as it was all they had.

I checked my local sears. The 3 thin profile ratchets are packed in one set, made in Taiwan.
They also sell 1/4,3/8,1/2 individually, all made in Taiwan too.
Maybe just my local sears

Wow! Yeah, totally low end tool, but for a homeowner who's only use it a few times to rebuild some cabinet doors or what not, that's an awesome price! cheaper than renting! Maybe a set of high quality blades might make it a lot better?

That's the same at my local sears too... the only thing I could fine that was still made in USA were the sockets.

Mine is the same way. The only USA ratchet they had was a 1/4" 84th premium ratchet.

My local sears never carries the premium ratchets. Your's does?

Do you know if that's nationwide or just local to you? was it advertised?

National according to the pep boys I went to. There were banners on the side of 2 pep boys I pass by today. I could not pass up 4.50 for the wobbles. it makes all my sockets wobbles now. I was considering getting a set or wobble metric sockets from sears. And a set of metric 1/2 deep impact socket for 14.50.

typo form earlier, Alltrade not allied my spell check did not like alltrade and replaced it with allied.

I picked up the only Whalen rolling work bench left at the Camillus, NY store (even tho' the Inventory tracker said zero). $99 + tax out the door. Box weighs 154 lbs. If anyone is interested in the Syracuse area and wants to come pick it up (still in box) you can have it for what I paid. I wont get time to assemble it for a while.

Welp, I don't know about any of you other folks, but Amazon finally cancelled my order for the Kett pneumatic shears.

Oh well - would have been nice, but they don't charge until they ship, so it's not like I was out anything.

I got some ornery old man at Sears who would not let me exchange my ratchets or return something else I had w/o a receipt. I'll have to try another time...

My HD had a ton of the Channellock closeouts along with a few Vise Grip items. They were mixed in with the regular priced tools, and no yellow closeout tags.
