I've had my camaro up in the air on 4 rhino ramps plenty of times. A wheel won't roll off with the e-brake on.

Channellock 412 + 422 + 21CBB (6.5" t&g + 9.5" t&g + 2 n' 1 screwdriver): http://www.ebay.com/itm/220956689938

Seller accepted my offer of $14 + $8 shipping. The screwdriver isn't worth anything ($1.85 on Channellock's site), but that's not a bad price for the pliers. 3 sets left at this time.

Modified Kooks y-pipe connected to QTP headers. It's a little raspy. I want to replace the actual Y merge for the Flowmaster Y merge.

No it doesn't hit on the drivers side. I have Spohn solid motor mounts.

Start your own Chevy thread and Rhino threads and leave the hot deal thread to the rest of us. Simply PM each other, its pretty easy to do. In either of these methods you can discuss the details of exhaust pipes to your hearts content.

Allen makes decent tools, comparable to Craftsman

Those are probably the same given Cman's origin now.

I ordered some online and picked up in store and was greatly disappointed in the quality. (had assumed they were still usa) so now i'm more leery of Cman stuff and those just went in the Jeep box where it doesn't matter if they get lost.

Here is an eBay listing (not mine) for greater than 50% off USA made, metric, Blackhawk open-end crowfoot wrench set: eBay.

On MSC Direct's website, the set is a fortune: MSC.

With the satin finish, the Blackhawk's are probably identical to Stanley Proto's J49XXM line of metric, open-end, crowfoot wrenches: Proto.

The only negative about the Blackhawk crowfoots is that there are no detents on the internal drive sides to securely hold the crowfoot to a ratchet or a socket extension bar. A work around is using locking extensions with these crowfoots. I purchased the same Blackhawk set from another eBay seller for $10 more earlier this month.

I know it is a deal considering msrp, but I always thought that proto was overpriced retail, and certainly blackhawk was. Good to see that this blackhawk is at least USA. I thought all of the blackhawk was taiwan.

How is Blackhawk overpriced? And the wrenches are still US made, at least the non-ratcheting ones are. You can get the regular wrenches, full polish, for around 6-7$ per wrench. Compared to SO that's peanuts. Quality stuff all around.

When I was a kid Blackhawk had a good name. I want to say that they were made in the USA but could be mistaken. At the time my Dad worked for a parts store that was a designated dealer and they had a replacement warranty similar to S&K. I've still got a set of 1/4" drive sockets (SAE) that was given to me on my High School graduation. I've used them a lot in the last 30+ years and they work just fine.

I've picked up a few Blackhawk wrenches in the last few years and have found them to be utterly reliable. Isn't the fact that they are reliable the ultimate test for a tool?

I was referring to the taiwan product. 7$ a wrench for made in USA is a good deal if the wrench is decent. A lot of the stanley tools at wal-mart are made in USA but I hate the screwdrivers no matter where they are made. They're made cheaply.

those things make me go knock kneed everytime i see them, no way on earth would I even go near a car up on them

i believe i would call that an irrational fear. this is my dually, with 13K lb trailer on the hitch. there is no such thing as a passenger car that would be the least concern with these ramps. i pull the trailer up onto one of them to change flats as well (so ~6500lb on one ramp).

i originally bought the lighter duty set (8K lb?), and was so happy, bought the 12K set. i'd LOVE another set.

These own the metal ones. I've seen those fold/flatten. I have a pair of 12k and 16k. Just got the newer stackable ones. They are SOOO much more practical than the old heavy ones I gave to a friend.

Hmmmm....
I love it when I get ideas from the users of this site. I have a car hauler trailer and my son had a Honda Del Sol that was lowered. I had to put the trailer in a ditch to load it on the trailer. I wonder... IF I had put the back of the truck on the ramps would the back of the trailer be low enough to load that thing without rubbing? :dunno: I may have to try that. Much easier than finding a ditch.

our race cars are REALLY low, and even with a dovetailed car hauler, getting the nose of the trailer up in the air means we're not dragging the air dam loading/unloading. the power nose jack is a big help too :)

typically, i will back the truck onto the ramps, unhook and raise the nose jack up high on some 6x6s, then i can load/unload and pull away, no dragging.

Nice to know. Thanks.

I'm not a big fan of unhooking the trailer from the truck when loading. I've seen too many trailers try to roll forward when loading. Of course if you used some wheel chocks and moved the truck...

normally, i'd agree, but in my case, the trailer with car weighs about 13K lb. without the car, 11K lb. the trailer is so heavy by itself, it doesn't move. more importantly - i ALWAYS chock the tires before unhooking - 4 chocks, one on the leading and trailing trailer tire on each side. its a good point - thanks for bringing it up.

I must have missed something on here because when I went to buy the breaker bar it cost more to ship than to buy the item. So I ended up canceling.

The breaker bar was originally listed for something like $21.99 (sorry, Im using my phone to post this). When I ordered mine there were 3 left. Princess Auto had a deal where they would discount the cost of shipping by up to $49 on all orders. It cost $29 to ship the breaker bar, but since they would eat up to $49 in shipping charges, they didnt charge me a dime to ship it via Canada Post. Since I live in the States and not Canada, there was no tax either. So basically I got a $50+ breaker for less than the cost of shipping.

If any of you want that breaker bar immediately I believe it's the same one Rural King stocks for $40.
If you can order it and wait you get a much better deal. I bought mine with a Christmas gift card. It's heavy thing that I bought to break CV axle nuts loose.

Umm... the mitten
Main catch I see with the $50 off future purchase is that is the only discount that would apply to the future purchase, and AAP has done that before with a no prior purchase required code for $50 off.

AAP almost always worth checking, but look at the real bottom line price as there prices often start out higher than most places.

Try this $35 off $85 link for up to 40% off. Oh, forgot. One use per AAP acct!

Any suggestions on the cheapest place to get a synthetic oil change? I normally do them by myself but recently moved to an apartment complex with no garage / awful street parking.

Got my Jegs mat. No hat. :(

On the bright side, it looks like a nice item. I'm using it already (pardon the not-finished workbench... I'll post more about it at a later date after it's done).

This is why I love this thread... I find stuff I didn't know I needed.
