Sold out and someone bought 6ea to probably flip.
That really irritates me. I know flipping is perfectly legal, and I don't necessarily believe that it shouldn't be, but it's still a jerk move. IMO, get a real job, and let others have a shot at a great deal.
I've flipped a couple times where I'll buy two of an item so that I can sell one and get one for free or cheap, but I'm just not cool with swooping up an entire deal for my personal benefit, and leaving everyone else out in the cold.

Everyone flips now adays. Just look when sears had their socket Clearence for .97 cent. People just swooped in to buy them up. And a tone of them are on eBay now for 4.50 and up.
That annoyed me, I just get what I need and let others get a shot on getting the tool for uses at a great deal.

Same. Like I said, it's not illegal or anything (well, the flipping itself anyways), I just personally find it distasteful. I'm a person who respects hard work and dedication, and flipping is a shortcut to a legit resale business. They want all of the benefits of being in business, but without any of the costs that real business owners have to cope with.
If I knew flippers were paying income tax on the stuff, then I might not be as irritated about it, but I think it's pretty rare that they do. It's frustrating to own a business and have to play by the rules, and then see guys skirting the system.
It's really similar to guys doing freelance work that normally requires a contractor's license and bond, for half the price that the contractor does, and then trying to talk **** like he's ripping people off at that price.
If all of these flippers were actually paying tax on their income, and paying for a business license like they should if they are operating out of their home, all of a sudden the money to be made wouldn't look so attractive.

Yeah, except they're not paying tax on their income, nor are they paying the same expenses that legit businesses have to pay... I guess that's their decision to take the risk.
Like I said, there's a point within reason, but some of these guys are making thousands in undeclared income. When I was sole prop, I didn't dare not declare a penny, because I guarantee that Uncle Sam wouldn't view it as lightly as many amatuer flippers do.

My cafeteria at work sells pizza by the slice and only makes a fix amount. If I beat everybody there and buy all the slices and then stand outside the cafeteria with a 100% mark up, am I a capitalist or an *******?

I understand where you are coming from and agree with your points. I know there are various degrees of flippers, some may do it professionally with others may do it as a hobby (like myself) because we/they enjoy tools and hunting for a good deal. (And just an FYI, I did NOT clear the racks at my Sears on the $0.97 sale. I bought a set for myself and a few other sizes to help out other GJ members who were looking for particular sizes their stores was out of.)

Not sure if this will work for anyone else. It might have been just a flubup at my local store.
The mall Sears had the regular handled nutdrivers (7pc) on sale for $19.99, the flubup came in that they also priced both the Metric and SAE 7pc T-Handle sets at $19.99 as well.
Oh yeah, I picked up both but when the manager did the override she told an employee to yank the price sticker down.
So if you can get these t-handles great, but it might just have been at mine. If I had know she was going to yank them I would have bought them and sold them to ya'll at cost.
I just wish they'd do the same with the t-handled Torx and Hex drivers! That'd be great!

flippers... i would call them opportunists - both the good and bad definition for that term.
(i don't buy the whole tax argument - hell we are overtaxed now) and i have probably bought lot's of stuff off of flippers on ebay... so they have a ready market because they are in the right place at the right time.... so that's the good side of the opportunists... providing something to the rest of us
the bad? the assholes that swoop and clear out the sears store and go to the next sears store and repeat... clear out the 150 items on amazon etc.... and them put a 500-1000% markup or more on the stuff

That's the seller who had a bunch of Williams stuff listed cheap on Amazon awhile back and canceled everything. Many of their listings have two options, one really cheap and the other the correct price. I wouldn't bet on it.
EDIT: Ah hell, I placed an order for a bunch of Williams stuff really cheap along with a Wright ratchet I have been eyeing. Total came to about $80 shipped for 192 different pieces. We'll see if it gets canceled...
Oh, and good luck searching for anything on their site! You thought Sears was bad?

I can't vouch for MROcenter, but I can say that I've exchanged a few emails with their customer support with questions on tools, and they seemed fairly knowledgable and responsive. I personally would be willing to gamble on the order.

Ordered the 50622 Williams 1/4-3/8 set for $9.35. Guess we'll see if it ships. The set normally sells for over $200. Seems like an error on the site but it let me order and the photo on the final page was correct. I don't need the tools but for the price I thought I would give it a shot.

I'm surprised but glad they canceled the Wright ratchet I ordered at regular price with all the Williams stuff. My bank shows the payment pending still...
When I arrived home from work last night there were my ratchets. I received all nine of them that I had ordered in three different boxes. They are all Made In Taiwan so I am pretty happy. Sears did a fine job on this order. Not bad for ordering on Monday and receiving on Thursday.
