I don't see it either. I'd pick up a set, but I don't see how to order them. There are local distributors... are they running the same pricing?

I ordered two sets of the the 3-ton stands last week. I emailed them for a price quote. You can call in an order, but I typed up a letter and dropped it in the mail on Thursday. I got a shipping notice yesterday - they should be here tonight.

For two pairs of stands, 3-tons per stand (not pair), it was a little under $150 with shipping.

Call the number at this link:
US Jack 3-ton Jack stands reg. 105.78 now $59.50

US Jack 6-ton Jack stands reg. 117.00 now $66.20

http://usjack.com/products.html

Shipping UPS ground is probably in the $20-$25 range per pair. My shipping was $22.49 for a pair of 6-ton stands.

This deal has been going on for a while, but I think it's worth posting again.

The only down sides for me was that the welds look big and beefy but not elegant. Also, some of the paint was chipped right out of the box. After seeing this I reminded myself that they are jack stand and not jewelry for the wife and I was fine. :)

Welds. Much better, IMO, than the ones on the Hein Werner stands in that other thread.

I noticed a couple small scratches in the paint. Not a big deal for me. The paint smelled VERY fresh right out of the box. I suspect mine were made about three days ago!

Looks like the gearwrench sale at sears is over.

It's cyclic and will eventually come around again. I have never bought GearWrench or any Craftsman stuff at full retail as they are always cycling there stuff through one sale or the next.

Doubtful. The only other time I've ever seen such a sale was a couple of years ago and all orders were cancelled.

It's like they were trying to flush out a huge amount of inventory for some reason.

I was thinking they have been selling off buildings. Maybe they had to empty a couple of warehouses. That or maybe a fundraiser for a bankrupt company. We sell Gearwrench where I work. They were selling at about our cost.

that's true for the gearwrench stuff sears sells at the store, things like the ratcheting wrench sets, etc. but this is the first time in years I've seen mainstream gearwrench stuff go at such deep discounts. they may be clearing warehouse space for the shipment of newer models that are going to be released this year (that's pure speculation on my part).

That's what I was thinking as well, we should see the new 84 tooth ratchets soon.

The thing is, Sears doesn't stock many of those products. Except for the most popular tools and sets, a lot of GW tools are shipped directly from an Apex/Danager warehouse.
