$25 minimum is even better for those that just want to pick up a few sale or low-cost items. I appreciate your effort though, and thank you for bringing the extension to our attention nevertheless.

Anyone take advantage of the Proto discount on mscdirect?

If so, what did you get?

I'm thinking of getting some punches.

Added a link to ToolGuyd referencing a 10% off PB Swiss Tools & Wera discount.
Also added mention of today's "up to 30% off" sale at MSC.

MSC/J&L Metalworking had a 30% off today only. Looks like it expired 45 minutes ago.:( Looks like I'm getting these discounts (25 or 30%) fairly often. Don't know if the J&L Metalworking is structured differently or not.

Local Lowes had DrillDoctor 350X on sale for 34.99. Regular price has been 49.99. It had a yellow tag on it that said closeout. Caveat is that I went to another Lowes (looking for more cabinets) and theirs were not marked down yet. I assume that as a closeout, it'll be marked down at other stores in the future, so it may be something to look out for if you don't have one. I already have that one and it seems to do a pretty good job. It'll handle most of the standard sized bits that a homeowner would use. The disadvantage over the higher end models it that it doesn't do split points. While it's not the 75% off deal that the Gladiator cabinets were, it's by far the cheapest price I've seen for this item.

heads up - 20% Off Bag Sale @ Ace Hardware - 2/28/09 ONLY!

Lhorn - some Lowes will put items on clearance based on their own inventory and sales data. If someone else can confirm the deal at a different Lowes, the deal will be edited into the 1st post. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. If I happen to be near or at Lowes this weekend, I'll try to see if the DrillDoctor is marked down.

Small Parts, via Amazon.com, is offering 10% when you buy two or more PB Swiss Tools. Promotional might apply to other things as well. That pick set is back down to $16 and change. Got that and a nail punch, and 10% off. Free shipping for over $25 of eligible amazon purchases. Some of their PB Swiss prices are pretty good.

Thanks, I'll post mention of that a bit later. This upcoming week's sale is a bit bland, likely due to the Craftsman Club promo, which isn't spectacular this month, but that's okay.

OK I looked through the thread and didn't see a post for the harbor freight parking lot sale mid march...here's scans of their ad.

After studying their sales for a couple years I'd say these prices are about as low as they get (including inside track club) unless you can work some crazy coupon deal or something.

The $10 4.5" grinder is included, so stock up if you're low! ;-)

Just stumbled on a couple of good deals on Amazon for grinding wheels- $9.99 for each of these.

Milwaukee 25 pack of 5" dia x 1/8" thick CONCRETE/Masonry wheels:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012DGUIK/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Milwaukee 10 pack of 4.5" dia x 1/8" thick metal grinding wheels:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012DGUIU/?tag=atomicindus08-20

These were found in the Gold Box Deal section, so I can't tell you how long they'll be available.

Eligible for free shipping if your order is $25 or more (just order more than 1 or order some other stuff to make up $25+).

I thought the 25 pack was a REALLY good deal, but I don't do alot of concrete grinding work, but the 10 pack is still a good deal as I always need more metal wheels.

A great find, thanks! I added a quick link to your post. The seller, "mytoolplace", typically offers low prices on Milwaukee gear for an extended period of time, so it might not be a short-lived deal.

Just received a flyer from Harbor Frieght ... coupon for
Aluminum Floor Jack
$69.99
3000 pound
3" to 14-3/4"

Is that a good deal?
Good for my econo box & mini van ... OK for F150 pick up?

Update:
Humm, that's no good! F150 weights about 6500 pounds!
Well, I am not lifting the entire truck with it.
Most time just one corner.
Maybe once in a while the whole front end.

rodm1 - I added a link to your post. Thanks for the heads up!

xroad - I don't know the answer to your question. You may want to start a new thread to attract more attention to your question.

Sears has the PRO 3pc pry bar set $50 1/2 off $25 starting Thur thru weekend. The other set is on sale often, this is the one with steel caps and doesn`t go on sale that often.

Man I ask where you heard about or saw that deal?

I found it, its in my weekly ad found on the sears.com website. I can't link it because if I click buy online it goes to a page with the standard $50 price. Just look through your ad, it's in there for $25 bucks, I'm definitely going to go pick one up.

Edit: Everyone around me is out of stock, go figure.

Edit 2: After calling my store in town, they do have 2 in stock and now one is reserved for me :). I really hate their website, their "check availability" is never right.

Ah. I saw the flyer earlier and drafted up a TG post with some of the deals. I'm not sure how I missed those pry bars! That is a great deal!

Unless I'm mistaken, the full price of the 7 piece flex head ratcheting wrench sets have been $90 each, for a while now.

Don't have it in front of me, but MSC is having about 50% off a Metabo power screwdriver kit. I'm not sure which model. Will investigate tomorrow. Got notice via their paper flyer. Combined with a 25 or 35% off coupon (if it were possible to combine), such a purchase might constitute a scorching hot deal :rocker:

Today's ToolGuyd post is a compilation of deal finds: a few Milwaukee tools, a few Craftsman 50% off tools, and MSC and Rockler codes. Deal Details

In the meantime, I'm working on a few deals and updating ToolGuyd's interface and appearance. Too many concurrent updates and upgrades means that things will be slow for a bit, but it'll pick up.

Sears has the PRO 3pc pry bar set $50 1/2 off $25 starting Thur thru weekend. The other set is on sale often, this is the one with steel caps and doesn`t go on sale that often.

I added this into a ToolGuyd post just prior to posting. I credited you for the heads-up. Is this okay?
