A miracle has occurred -- the Sears website actually has the Pro prybars priced according to the sales flyer. My nearest Sears isn't all that convenient, so I'm trying to get my purchase up to $125 for free S&H :) (unless someone knows of a coupon code to do this) Any other items of note that are on sale that you recommend?

I found it, its in my weekly ad found on the sears.com website. I can't link it because if I click buy online it goes to a page with the standard $50 price. Just look through your ad, it's in there for $25 bucks, I'm definitely going to go pick one up.

Edit: Everyone around me is out of stock, go figure.

Edit 2: After calling my store in town, they do have 2 in stock and now one is reserved for me :). I really hate their website, their "check availability" is never right.

A Sears associate told me that the store availability automatically says none available when there are only 2 or 3 items in the store so that there are items for people who come and shop at the store. I have run into this often.

Are you sure about that? On more than one occasion, the website would list something as available, I'd go to the store, see one of the item, buy it, and when I next checked the website it said "not available" or "in stock in ## days". These were not sale items, nor were they commonly sold items. Perhaps there were 2 more in the stock room, but in the most recent case, two weeks later the tool's spot on the rack was not yet refilled.

I've since believed that discrepencies are due to individual store issues. The inventory at Sears is so poor - associates don't know where items are, items are listed in-stock when none are available, and yes, items are sometimes listed as unavailable when they are.

You may have missed it, but a few months ago I managed to purchase a brand new ratchet that was apparently discontinued 20+ years ago. It was sitting on the bottom shelf, just like that, with original sales card and all. That's how bad their stockroom must have been!

:bounce:SCORE! Task Force hose reel (#140418) out the door for $26.13 Thanks to the OP once more. Bought at Lynnwood, Wa. Lowe's at 2:00 pm today. Physically saw they had one more left on storage rack; these weren't even priced yet! Went straight to the CS desk and asked for MOD and a price match to Charlotte, NC store. North Seattle store had zip but checked computer and showed two at Lynnwood with a price of $79.00. Lynnwood clerk checked for price and showed it at $35.00, so they barely blinked when they gave me the lower price. Such a deal, it made my day. Thanks again for the heads-up!

Added link to 14' Werner ladder @ Lowes - it's currently $69, almost 1/2 off of the typical price, according to comments on a deals forum.

Got home a few hours ago with my Cman Pro prybar set...online said the store was out but I called this AM and they had 3 in stock and held one for me...good thing, since when I got there the other 2 were gone. Also got a set of broken screw extractors (reverse-drive style) that was 50% off. I hadn't been in a Sears in ~2 years, it was nice to see how nice their selection was, esp. for things like large wrenches, sockets, etc.

Thanks GJ!

Today's Sears coupon 10OFFMARSAVINGSD stacks!

I was looking at a drill doctor and some nut drivers. When you add them to the cart, you get a "Today Only Save an Extra 10% off Tools" automatically. Then, add the coupon code above and you get this:

sears-sale-1.jpeg

:bounce:

Works also for nutdriver and crowfoot sets, so it might be pretty widespread.

BTW, that price for the DD750X is as good as any I've ever seen. I ordered one for pickup...

Thanks to charlie_nj for posting the coupon!

Thanks for the post, it reminded me to thank Charlie for posting the coupon.

That is a great price on the 750X!

There are several already-on-sale items that the 19% discount can be stacked on top of. Sadly, the 24" gladiator cabinet currently on sale for 50% cannot be further discounted.

Thanks. The coupons do stack.

I bought the three round head fine tooth ratchets (1/2, 3/8, 1/4). With shipping and tax (after the coupon) is $57.

The regular price for them are $25, $19, and $15. So basically saved the shipping and tax with the coupons today.

Amazon.com has a special on a new Makita Lithium Ion straight line impact driver for 73.77, which is what a reconditioned one normally runs. It's about 30 dollars cheaper than everywhere else.

Anyone have a code for 25 or 35% off MSC? And free shipping code?

They've got some Merit 60 grit flapwheels for $4.91 each (March sale catalog) that'd be even sweeter with the discount.

The current MSC promos are

35% on all cutting tools: CTB35W

30% on all safety and janitorial stuff: SAFWEB30

20% and free shipping on machinery (except Bridgeport and National): MACH20W

None of those sound like they would apply, but I'd give it a shot, anyway. Just try one after the other and see if one works...

Don't believe any % off numbers that amazon gives you - they're grossly inflated. Most of the GW products carried by Amazon are always at or near market price, but sometimes they do offer certain products at abnormally low prices.

I have Gearwrench X-Beams and am pleased with them.

Today only

MSC Direct 30% off on three or more different items: WEB30

Well, I had a couple hundred dollars in wrenches in my cart. Clicked to checkout and their site is temporarily unavailable. It comes back on a couple minutes after 12pm and I can no longer use the code. Thanks for the code though.

Sorry to hear about that. Don't fret too much, as it likely won't be long until there's another "35% off 5 unique items or more" sale.

Sorry to hear... I wouldn't have thought that they cut it off at midnight eastern time, though...
Well, we must also remember that they're an industrial supplier and as such they cater mostly towards businesses. Most purchasing departments are long closed before their promos expire.

It also looks like updates are automatic since Enco is always unavailable when MSC is.

In my experience, codes for MSC expire at 11:30 PM EST.

I know it was still working at 11:45pm. That was around the last time I updated my cart. Turned out to be a good thing though. I picked this up on ebay just after. I want to compare them to my SO Flank Drive Plus. I have been wanting to try the wright wrenches for a while. They look nice in their catalog, and thats cheap for such a large set.
