Free Lenox blade - have to sit through some advertising from a fairly slow site, though.

http://www.cutsomething.com/
Nice find! Sometime today or tomorrow I'll sort through the 1st post and update it.

When finding a legit site that loads slowly, my first instinct is to check slickdeals. I was right. Anyhow, here is a post on slickdeals that describes what to do.

Yep. That's basically what I did. But loading the test site and the warehouse each took several moments plus the time to run through them. You can't go straight to the form for the free blade.

Speaking of Lenox, I saw this on Amazon.com last night:
LENOX Gold 20353-SSRK1 Quick Change Retractable Knife at 46% off.
http://www.amazon.com/LENOX-20353-SSRK1-Quick-Change-Retractable/dp/B0009ENCV6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=hi&qid=1237928864&sr=1-1
I don't have this particular model, but I do have their basic retractable knife with the same design and they've held up real well from 3 months of heavy abuse, cutting tough asphalt shingles with a hook blade.

Another find from Amazon is this:
PB Swiss 225 9 Piece Screwdriver Set with Interchangable Blades at $44.50
http://www.amazon.com/PB-Swiss-Screwdriver-Interchangable-Blades/dp/B001D2SBDW/ref=rsl_mainw_dpl?ie=UTF8&m=AIUBT5HP6PMAF
If purchased from PBtoolsUS, it's $136.72 :shocking:
Considering that the 225A reversible handle itself is $45.65 from PBtoolsUS, the Amazon deal is a HOT DEAL.

Menards is adding more Gearwrench stuffs everyday now and has everyday price lower than anywhere I have seen.

For example, the GearWrench 8916 16 Piece Ratcheting Nut Driver Set (SAE/Metric) is priced at $39.99. That is the lowest I have seen everywhere as a non-sale price.

When they run the 15% off, this will be $34 and that is the time to pick it up.

That is pretty good! Now, if only Lowes would follow suit.

Right, Menards do not ship and they do not have coupons like Lowes either.

Once in a while, they will offer the 15% off anything that you can stuff into their bag, which costs $0.99.

Menards have good oil sales. Typically they have Rotella 15W-40 and 10W-30 (both HDEO) and then the Quaker State synthetic stuffs (they often have rebates).

FYI it looks like today you can get the CC 50% off combined with a "10% off tools" (online only). Add the SWELCOME07298 code and that flare crowsfoot set is $33.74 if you pick it up. I thought I was doing so well by not buying it before, but I just can't resist now!

loubapache,

Thanks for mentioning the Northern Tool deal on the Gearwrench "S" pattern wrench set. I just purchased the metric set for $16.98 (including UPS Ground shipping). I remember within the last six months at Lowe's, the metric set was being sold for $39.99 + tax. What a price difference! The funny thing is that I think Lowe's placed the wrenches on clearance for that price. I have not seen anymore of those wrench sets at Lowe's at the few locations I have been to in Northeast Ohio.

I've been trying to find that out. Problem is that the model #s don't match up with Gearwrench's loose stock.

The SAE wrenches do match with what in this year's catalog.

The 15 mm x 17 mm also matches.

The 13 mm x 14 mm is not in this year's catalog so it is probably an old model.

These 2-pc packages are discontinues.

BTW, their ebay store has increased the price to $17.99 but the website still shows $10.99.

I saw the $10.99 price on ebay first but ordered from their website.

I noticed this a few days ago via Amazon, but thought it was a bit too ambiguous to post about. Guess I was wrong.

Edit: I updated the 1st post with links to amazon and to your loubapache's mention of the deal. It turns out that the ones on amazon are sold by Northern Tool. I think that buying from Northern Tool directly might save a buck or two on shipping.

The wrench "pictured" on the Northern site is a 19/22 mm. Two S Gearwrenches for $18 shipped is pretty hard to ignore regardless of the size, but if it hit a couple of my most used sizes sure would be sweet.

Last time I bought the Half Moon when two sizes were cheap, and a few weeks later the whole set of 4 was clearanced.

I think that is just a generic image. The package image is from the SAE 2-pc.

And then they use the same two images for both the metric and SAE sets.

My order has been shipped so when I get them, I will report the metric sizes (the SAE sizes can be seen on the back of the package image.)

Sears Hometown Dealers (4/2 - 4/4) deals: 204-pc $99.99 etc.

I do not know if the regular Sears will have these deals but the Hometown Dealers (B & M) have some 50% deals in tools from 4/2 (Thursday) - 4/4 (Saturday).

204 pc Mechanic's Tool Set 37204 for $99.99 (regular $199.99). The deal is back.

9-pc Wrench set 47044/5 for $14.99 (regular $29.99), SAE or Metric

54-pc Driving Set 26393 for $12.49 (Regular $24.99)

The above are 50% off.

The 3-ton jack, jack stands, and creeper set 50188 for $99.99 (Regular $149.99)

Looks like Northern Tool is charging cheaper shipping on their site than on amazon, so I removed the Amazon links.

loubapache - are those deals only for Sears Hometown? By any chance was this a print, or online ad?

It is a print ad, which is inserted in our local (free) weekly shopping guide.

In the past, most of the hometown dealer deals were also on the regular Sears. However, I have seen cases where the Hometown deals not on regular Sears. For example, a couple of weeks ago, the Hometown dealers had the Professional gel filler knee pads for %75 off and that was not on the regular Sears.

During checkout at Northern Tool it will let you do store pickup for free to save the shipping.

It didn't give me that option. I guess it doesn't matter, it would cost me more to drive there than to just have it shipped.
