some of ya'll with a tanger outlet nearby may want to check out direct tools outlet. they've got a lot of ryobi, ridgid, milwaukee refurb tools for cheap. they're also located at some prime outlets.

only difference is the tanger outlet ones offer 10% and 15% off coupons.

I actually have two Tanger's within 20 miles of where I live, but of course neither has a Direct Tools Outlet. They just have Black & Decker.

These were my latest clearance finds. Channellock model #GL10, 10" GripLock pliers and model #426, 6.5" tongue & groove pliers from Tractor Supply for $6.99 each. I've already used the 10" which is why the packaging is removed. Hurry, I got the last ones off the shelf at two different stores. The ratchet is a Proto #5750, 3/8 drive Spinflex from Grainger (available in store only) for $17.19. They also had Proto 1/4 and 3/8 drive indexing ratchets for similar prices, $16.81 and $18.68 respectively, but I didn't get those. Hurry even faster on these because they had one 5750 left in the continental US and they had very limited numbers of the others. Happy hunting!

Anyone have a Harbor Freight internet coupon? The link is for retail stores only.

Or can you order an internet only item from a store and use this coupon?

I looked all over, nothing in like the last year. Previous was I think early December and was just free shipping.

Reviews of that box suggest its cheaply made, rolled over a crack and the steel around the caster buckled.

I agree, I bought the Craftsman Grip Latch 46" (I think), before I bought it I sent an email to Sears and was assured they were built in the USA. One box was the other was made n Mexico, that turned out to be good because after I took them out of their boxes and saw how flimsy they were, plus the Grip latch seem like something destined to break, I wanted to return them. I was able to return them without paying the restocking fee because they weren't both made in the USA.

Here's the response I initially got from Sears:

Advance Auto Parts has issued a $10 off coupon (good for store purchases of at least $25). It expires 12/31/2009. You can print the coupon here: http://www.tamparacing.com/forums/general-car-chat/606772-advanced-auto-parts-10-off-25-a.html. I printed my coupons in color to increase the likelihood that Advance Auto would accept them.

In the last 2 days, I used the coupon at 2 different Advance Auto Parts stores. Both times, the coupon was accepted at the checkout counter.

Yesterday, I used the discount coupon to purchase the Gearwrench model# 80552, 14 piece, 3/8" drive, 6 point, shallow metric socket set. Here is a link to the socket set on Gearwrench's website: http://www.gearwrench.com/catalog/ratchets_and_sockets/sockets/standard/setdetails.jsp?part=80552. It is currently priced at $25.79. After using the coupon, I got the socket set for $15.79! According to Google Shopping, at $25.79, Advance Auto had the lowest price for this Gearwrench socket set of any online retailer.

Lastly, I purchased on Tuesday at Advance Auto Parts a Gearwrench 21mm combination wrench. At the beginning of the clearance sale, it was priced at $4.95. It got it for $0.95!

My imagination, or are there fewer deals to be had this Black Friday compared to a year ago?

JMHO, but I believe there are. Our papers have been MUCH thinner on Sunday's, fewer sales ads, fewer overall markdowns as so many items came down already when things started slowing down. Now less sales due to people sitting on inventory, needing the $ for the next "seasonal" buy, etc.

I just bought a 12 pc. set of Craftsman SAE deep impact sockets from Sears.com for $33.99. My cart displayed a Craftsman Club discount, Friends & Family discount, and another random $20 discount that I have no idea where it came from. That's a great deal on a set of U.S. made deep impact sockets IMO!

Bing instant rebate is up to 20% at ebay and walmart, just keep trying search terms until it maxes out.

Bing.com is Microsofts attempt at buying into the search engine market, and the rebates require a paypal acct.

I have and received a decent amount of cashback thus far.

BUT, Sears' cashback is often 2% or less on tools. Ebay has a lot of hoops that you must jump through to get cashback. I tried to get cashback on ebay recently, but it apparently is only valid on certain non-personal items?

It should take 2 days or less for cashback to register unless something is wrong, and then it takes 60 days before you can request the money be transfered to you via check or paypal.

But hey, money returned after 60 days is still money, so it's usually worth a try, especially when some stores offer 12% back or more.

That is so funny that you mention bing while I was going through all my previous emails trying to get my ebay purchase credited to bing I may have not got involved except it was a $1200 dollar puchase and the saving are substantial. What a battle getting it to work though. ED
