Looks like a door mat, flat on the bottom with rubber pegs sticking up.

Working on a hard floor like concrete gives some people trouble with their legs. Cushion sole shoes, or rubber mats at places where you stand a lot can help.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Home Depot SPRING black friday, or has it already?

they have a 9 gal, 3.5hp Ridgid shop vac for $20 (the one that came out on the real black friday was 16 gal, 5hp).

Anyway, it started 3/18 and they have some other stuff on sale

(not sure if link works)

Sears F&F on the 21st.

http://www.sears.com/ue/home/31010_f&f_flyer.pdf

Not really any great deals in the flyer, but the extra 10% off all tools could be useful if you are looking to pick something up anyways.

I can't really open the link. Everything I do is on my phone and when I go to sears its sends me the 'sears2go.com' which is the mobile friendly version or their site.
I am wondering if the coupon or link you listed above would allow me to get 10% off of sears 'deal of the day' the rolling cabinet for $72 or if that is calculated in to that. Cause when I open the page to the cabinet it shows it as $80.
Which either way seems like a good deal, but I am curious if I could score another 10% off of that $72.

Anyone that has a HF Tool Box or the HF 5 drawer Tool Cart, they have a close out sale on the 2 shelf end cabinet for 69.99 plus an additional 20% off using the coupon.

Here is the one on close out.

And here is the one I use it with.

Is that at all hf's? Where are you located in WA?

Purchased at the Kent,WA store and they said that it went on close out at all HF stores. You might have to call and confirm as it wasn't in their system yet so have them check the price tag on the product. Hope that helps.

I went to HF today looking to get a few of these. They didn't know anything about the closeout and the price was $149.99. I came home empty.

The HF manager that did the price adjustment told me that it was on close out system wide. My father in-law got the same deal today at a different HF. Oh well, sorry about the inconvience.

Harbor Freight 580 pound capacity 4 drawer roller cart $99 with email coupon. PM me if you need the coupon. Coupon good till 4/4/2010 but they show up a lot

I have this and use it to hold my welding tools. I mounted a cheap old side box to it and my welder sits on top of the side box. For the money it works just fine for a hobby box.

I have seen these carts in the store several times but have never seen the red 5 drawer in the store. Are they the same overall size? Is the red one better?

I have both and the red one is a little bigger and holds more weight. Seems to be a little more robust.

UncleJoe: Can you post a picture of it with your modification? Thanks! Jim

There's a better coupon for $89.99

Only $10 difference but it's worth it to me.

If you read the fine print, notice you can buy FIVE with one coupon!

Reply for Shocksystem: here are some photos of the "side box" modification I did.
I had a 30 plus year old tool box and cabinet that I think I bought at Kmart. It was unusable as a tool chest. I took the wheels off and mounted the bottom on the wall as a cabinet. When I got the HF cart I wanted to place my welder on a side stand I saw the old cabinet hanging on the wall and figured it would work. A little sanding and some black paint and there you go. I saw the same cabinet at a flea market this weekend for $20

Also to answer the question by IONH the slides are ball bearing and very smooth under load. The detents (sp) were a little stiff and I will need to adjust them but I have not bothered with that yet.

Wow, I really like that setup! I like how you basically made that a welding/grinding cart (minus the actual bench top grinder) which puts everything within reach with just one roll away.

It sure is handy to have everything in one place when I need to do an metal fabrication. I am going to mount a pole up the back to hang my welding helmets and welding jacket and respirator and stuff. I have a heavy duty extension cord holder on the back side.

I will also weld a bar across the back to hold C-Clamps and stuff. Pretty much everything I need in one box.

I could not buy the casters, trim rails, handles and sheet metal and paint and build it myself for what I have in it now.

Quick question, I have a similar roller cart, Sears, got as gift. I am finding it a bit odd to work with.
Top closed got working surface = cant use inside, top compartment.
Top open, = no working surface. Maybe I am getting old,
what do you guys do / how do you use the cart effectively?

I could be wrong but to me a roller cart is to hold the tools you need for the job at hand. It is not a work bench. Often a mechanic will have a lot of tools. He will take what he needs from his large box and load it on the cart and take that to the project. This way he does not have to strain trying to roll a large tool box across the shop. I think you need a work surface and a cart. I have an old craftsman "project center" box that had a work surface on the top and 5 drawers below. I used that for a while just like you are describing.

This is a key point to many DIY projects. It often ends up costing more to have a full DIY project piecing bits together than it would to just buy an item which is close to handling what you want to accomplish and customizing it to satisfy what it is missing.
