Just called my local NAPA and she said nothing was currently on sale. She even got a sales flyer and told me no.

The next town over also doesn't seem to know anything about it.

I submitted my request online a couple of hours ago and they haven't yet called or emailed. We'll see if "No Auto Parts Available" comes through this time.

I went to the local napa thinking the deal was off. They had a poster in their window with sale items and it had the wrenches pictured. Walked in the store and they had a display with the wrenches. No issue getting a set of metric and SAE. Even called a buddy and he bought a set for him and for his dad.

Good find...glad I have subsribed to this thread.

Went to Napa and they were out of the wrenches...Went next door to Advance and got them to price match. Too bad the 12mm wrench is already busted:(

napa has a father's day special this month on the 7pc gearwrench flexhead sae/metric combos for 34.99. if napa is out of stock, just take the flyer to sears or lowes to price match.

The Napa Seattle store at the SODO location has them. I picked up a set of metric. Thanks USMC_noma!

I just snagged the only SAE and Metric set in a 100 mile radius.... it seems like I've been waiting forever for these flex heads to go on a good sale. :bounce:

Sweet! I'll be heading to my local Napa tomorrow when I get off work.

I see the pry bars as $20. How did you get it down lower to $16? (Not that it matters, all 4 local stores to me are out of stock on this item!)

My local NAPA reported that the Gearwrench set is "Out of stock everywhere except Fresno" for California.

How do you apply the C-Club discount online? My membership number is tied to my Sears account, but no additional discounts ever show up in the cart.

Or should I say, how are you getting the $16 price on these?

Not sure really. I was logged into my Craftsman.com account when I went to Sears.com to check the price and it said $19.99 then in the top right-hand corner it said "20% off ". I just checked and it still does.

Where I hang my hat.
Was driving through -let me check the receipt - Clarksville TN and spotted a NAPA. The Gearwrench sale was on the front page of the store flyer and on a dedicated poster stand in front of the counter. The tool section was being redone but they brought a set of each from the back for me. Sorry, forgot to ask how many they had in stock.

I took advantage of the Sears 20% off and the 5off50 coupon to buy the 12 piece offset box end wrench set and the 5 piece SAE professional flare nut wrench set. Then I got a note from Sears saying that they made a mistake and the Flare Nut Wrench Set is no longer available

Which is odd, because it was still listed on their website today, and it's available in a Sears store fairly close to me. Urg.

yikes, that stinks.

Keep an eye on them - they're bound to go on sale again sooner or later.

Last year this time there were quite a few sales on Craftsman and Craftsman Pro wrenches.

Just got this info in my inbox: PBSWISS is having a "summer sizzler sale" until July 31st! Check out the deals here: http://pbtoolsus.thomasnet.com/category/all-categories-summer-sizzler-2010

Tool Deals and Bargins...

Summer is here and it is sizzling! So, in true summer fashion, we are bringing back our annual Summer Sizzler Sale at the PB Swiss Tools Online Store by Count On Tools!

Now through July 31st, you can save up to 40% or more on a wide variety of hand tools, including screwdrivers, hex keys, tool sets, bits, specialty tools, and more. Plus, we extended our May Bonus Buys into the Summer Sizzler for more products and more savings! We are also adding some new items to our final closeout section below. Note: Sale prices will be reflected in the shopping cart and checkouot screens and not on the individual product pages. All Summer Sizzler Sale items are only while supplies last.

But, that’s not it. If your order reaches $150.00+, we will throw in a FREE gift, the new 2010 PB Tools US T-shirt. What you will need to do to take advantage of this special offer is to specify in the special instructions field on the order checkout screen what size shirt you wish to receive (S, M, L, XL, XXL). If no size is selected, we will automatically process the shirt size based on availability.

And don't forget, the more you buy, the more you save. Get an additional 20% off any item by purchasing in multiples of 10 (20, 30, 40, 50, etc...).

Don't miss out on these great opportunities. Check back weekly for updates and new items on sale!. This promotions ends on July 31st, 2010.

Their website *****! I ordered some sockets recently, and they said they were out of stock online *must use local pickup*, yet still showed in stock. I think the spelling error caused an issue (no I didn't receive my Mertric sockets:lol_hitti ).
There have been several threads about SK, and I believe the pro flare wrench sets were/are SK made.
Store shelf stock, has no connection to the back room/internet stock. It ***** as my father ordered two of something, and the store kept getting one for their shelves, but couldn't seem to get two extra, for the prepaid order, until a letter to the CEO.

In all fairness to Sears, I emailed the customer service email address, showed them that the wrench sets were in stock locally, and they have given me a code to purchase them with the 20 percent discount. I didn't complain, I just sent a nice email asking if they could honor the price. Sears went the extra step and called the store, just to be sure that they were actually in stock before emailing me back. Kudos.

When ordering from Sears, here are some codes that work:

OFFERS
C-O-U-P-O-N-C-A-B-I-N (no hyphens)
CPNALBUM
SEARS5OFF50

I applied them in that order and I got $20 off ($5 off ea)

(Thanks to my home MC forum for these)

Yep, and the coupons must be entered in that order. AFDEAL can be substituted for the SEARS5OFF50 if the order is over $100 ($115 to take advantage of all discounts).

There's also 1 or 2 additional ones, but they override one or more of these codes.

I'm waiting until this weekend to make a purchase or three to see if there will be another %-off discount that is stackable.

30% off coupon for North Texas Napa stores on their Facebook page. The coupon does not mention that it is for North Texas stores, so you may or may not have luck using it in other parts of the country.

Haven't seen an MSC 5 items at 35% off deal (let alone with free ground shipping to boot), but I'd sure like one so I can get a Reelcraft or Cox reel and some more Durham cabinets.

If you register at MSC Direct, you'll get an email almost daily with some kind of sale or special. I think I saw both 30% off orders over $199 and free shipping last week.

The Sears deal above is "Friends and Family" promotion, which is an additional 10-20% off items from 6pm to 9pm.

The deal is MUCH better online, as many of the items already are marked down 5% and you can use coupons. The other cool part is that it's all weekend, not just 6-9PM.

I just stocked up on deep sockets, 5% off sale, 10% off for Friends and Family promo, then 10% off for AFDEAL coupon, for a total of 25% off.

In store it would have only been 15% off, which is still good, but not nearly as good as 25%.

Thanks. I've been registered. So I do get the promo e-mail. But haven't seen the 35% + free ship in a while. Only (if memory serves) the 25% and 30% off for purchases over $149 and $199 respectively.

If you're going to order heavier stuff (cabinets, vise, whatever) the free shipping does make a diff.
