I do some light welding on my projects. The floor has held up well to what I have done on it. Thanks for the kudos

Wow, what a transformation the lighting and floor did for the space. It really complements the toys now.

I hadn't seen this thread until today. I'm really impressed. This space is getting right up there with the threads you've mentioned. That's good company to keep!

Did a pretty cool finish technique to my caferacer I found on www.lowbrowcustoms.com under the diy section. Used neverdull polish smeared on the case then hit it with nylon brush drill attachments they sell at Harbor Freight for cheap. Run the brush in the direction you want the grain to show until the polish dries up. Wipe any access off and finish with a scotchbrite pad. Looks really cool in person, pics dont do it justice. Has a industrial look to it.

Made a little progress on the trailer. Tore it apart and put the frame on my bike table. Need to straighten a few areas and weld up all the joints to make it stiffer. :3gears:

I love the floor! Great idea! This gives me great hope that I can have a reasonably priced finished floor that can hold up to some decent use. And I guess if you damage an area you can just replace a tile or two.

Love the bike projects too. I have been dreaming of a CB 750 project for awhile. Perhaps one of these days when I get an actual garage..it will come true.
I also have to say I really like the soffit cabinets with the lighting underneath. They look great and look as if they can hold a lot of stuff without breaking the bank.

Thanks so much for sharing!

I leveled up the frame and welded up all the joints. Removed the folding center brackets and plated it all in.

I got a new 2000 pound axle and welded new spring perches on it. Upgraded to 5 lug wheels. Bedlinered the frame and fenders. Put new 2x10's down for the deck. Made removable sides that double as ramps for my toys..

Made a posterboard template. Made a ghetto dimple die from a piece of scrap tubing, the wheel chuck from my Harbor Freight wheel trueing stand, a socket, and my bench vise. Worked great on some 18 guage steel! Instant splash guard/ skid plate.

Cut the reflector mounts off the frame and welded in a patch, cleaned up all the welds, and put a hole in to run the wiring out of sight.

Thanks!! The compartments above the doors are 4x8 platforms. I haven't decided if I am going to close them in or not. I need to at least paint them though.

That's one good looking Kawasicki!

I keep looking at my tired old Honda CB650 trying to decide how to 'freshen it up'; I think you've given me some time-consuming-expensive ideas! lol

Are you just 'winging-it' on the design, or have you used a reference resource to guide your decision process? That Corbin seat looks really sharp with what you've done; did you buy it direct or sourced it elsewhere?

Is there a story that goes with your avatar?

Thanks!! I am doing the bike for the street with a vintage flat track racer vibe. Also on the cheap. Payed $200 for the bike and will have $1500 in it done and painted. Google "street tracker" for some ideas. Also check out www.mulemotorcycles.com for some inspiration. Bought the seat used off ebay.

Avatar is my Cobra:3gears:

Thanks!! I bought the car partially done.. Found it while mowing my yard, spied it on jack stands in a building behind my house. Guy hadn't touched it in years. Needless to say I wanted it more than him:thumbup:
