The new-to-me workshop was being used as a clubhouse for a motorcycle club, so the bar goes of course. But how do I start over on the floor (it's not tile)? That stairway will be removed as well, so . . .

is it paint? vinyl?

it looks easy to clean. if it's just a workshop, I'd just strip the junk out, leave the floor and roll with it

but that's just me...

Congrats and Good luck with the floor and new space!

MoToRcYcLe ClUbHoUsE lol. Grown men pretending to be in Sons of Anarchy. I'm sure you'll get it whipped into shape soon.

Looks like paint. If you want to coat it the paint will need to be ground off. If grinding isn't of interest then you'll need to cover it with floating floor like snap down tiles or a laminate.

What type of work will you be doing?

That is not a bar, it's a workbench! The flooring suggestions will depend on the work your intending to do. Woodshop, metalshop, or arts and crafts. Me I'd just paint it grey and go with it.

Hobby shop for hotrods and general foolishness. I also have three Triumph TR3s that are disassembled. I might start parting them out as a side business.

A local club affiliated with the Hell's Angels. The neighbors shared a few -interesting- stories. Not your typical bankers and real estate agents playing Harley leather dress-up on the weekend.

TR3s... beautiful cars. Brother had a Healey 3000 MKIII, miss driving that car!!

The upper room is interesting, you noted that you're getting rid of the stairs... what are you planning for that area?

Workbench? Yes! I can repurpose it for that in my daughters art studio upstairs.

When we moved into our "retirement home" almost 3 years ago a PO had laid vinyl tile on the whole basement concrete floor. The area where my woodshop is I wanted to pull up the tile, but it is glued down so well it will not come up. I just left it & deal with it. It is just a workshop after all.
