How do you guys store all your 'toothpaste' chemicals?

I've been poking around on the forum and google looking for smart ways to store all the RTV, locktite, superglue, etc. toothpaste tube style chemicals that also helps guard against leakage. Currently they're all loose in a toolbox drawer and that just causes me to lose sleep at night.

SO, any/all suggestions appreciated! Thanks!

No pic currently, but mine are in a board I drilled out with some holes and mounted to the wall. All go in upside down and the ones I use are readily available. I don't cap the tubes, I just let them dry in the nozzles and clear them when I use them next. Never had a tube dry up on me yet. ... Yeah, me! My few epoxy are hung the same but instead of holes in the board it has a long slot cut out.

Am I the only one who has a problem with the caps for some of the tube splitting and letting the contents set in the tube. It happens to me with every tube of Permatex Black Gasket Maker I've bought. I've never used more than half the tube before it goes bad.

Yes, but the culprit in my life is weatherstrip cement. I have to buy a new tube every time I want to use it. The other issue is with E6000, which is an adhesive that I have come to absolutely love. Often times, I find the glue has set in the lid just enough that the lid is glued to the tube.

I believe the package says to smear a small amount of petroleum jelly around the threads before putting the cap back on. It's supposed to prevent the cap from sticking.

IMHO, Supposed to and does are not always the same.

I use a cutoff plastic quart motor oil container.

I usually keep them in a plastic bolt bin standing up along with a few spray cans. The clips above look like a great idea!

Haha, I saw the lilredex solution in my earlier search. I like the binder clips idea and zip lock bags are a duh moment. I went to dollar general and they have these great little trays. might go that route with ziplock bags if i can spare the drawer space. If not, the binder clips are great. might put some sorta catch tray below them if any start to drip.

My Cman toolbox has the smaller drawers on the right side. One drawer has a couple little plastic baskets in it, about 4"x 4" square. One basket has tubes/bottles. Another has spare caps, you know the ones that don't split (luckily) so I save them.

There's a third basket that I can't remember what the hell is in it, but I know when I need it, where it's at.

If I remember, I'll snap a picture tomorrow.

I just checked almost thirty lids, some of them 30 years old.
No cracks.
I've never seen a cracked one.

Same here. The nasty ones in zip log bags, separate them by types... means for epoxy, I separate the hardener from the epoxy...

These bins are great for the garage. I use some to store stuff on a shelf under my bench. I use the larger ones for projects to throw tools, parts or supplies in. Way useful. And you can usually grab them cheap used. Throw the rack away

Plastic shoe box for most tubes. Superglue once opened goes in butter opening in the frig to keep it ready to use.
