 My! How come you have so many? What's the story?

That's just something I like to collect.

You have to do a couple group photos. I bet you can't they them all in 1 picture.

I've been wanting to for a long time and now I moved. A chunk of my stuff is stored with family so things are split, don't know if it will ever happen now.

PowderKeg who is a ratchet collector was in the area yesterday and bought 2 from me. Its the 3rd time he has been here and has left with a couple of new specimens each time.

Well that's cool.

That is sad. I think you are probably in the top 5 for collection size.

So your saying its like clamps... :bounce:

Seriously. Every time I think I have enough a bigger project comes along and I'm back at the hardware store.

Same with tape measures, I start a project and by the end I've pulled out 8 and can't find any. Now anytime HF has the free tool coupons and ones a tape measure I come home with more tape measures.

I second this. I try and keep a tape by the bench, the box, the chopsaw, etc. then one goes in my pocket or on my hip and they all end up right at the project site inevitably. ratchets are the same way, I think I've got somewhere between 15 and 20 rats, at least four of which are currently in use while I am working on the tractor.

I have somewhere in the ballpark of 50 as a homeowner/DIYer. I have a handful that are more "collectible" than anything, but for the most part it's because I have quite a variety of different types in a majority of drive sizes. I also have several ratchets in car tool sets, basement toolbox, etc.

I have about 10 in my work toolbox. All in 1/4" drive. All of which have different applications.

The only ones I can count are my 1" drive ratchets - I own 2.

I have 20-25 3/4" drive ratchets, and many, many, many of the smaller sizes

13 not including the air ratchet but, including the bit ratchet. 1/4" to 3/4" drive sizes.

I've given away around a dozen through the years to my brother and son.

When counting the # of ratchets owned, what is counted in that? Does it include breaker bars and torque wrenches? What about ratcheting screwdrivers, bit drivers, and wrenches? Do speeder wrenches get counted with ratchets since they hold sockets?

For just ratchets without any of the other stuff, I have around 60.

Anyone else find it ironically humorous that Mr Ratchet has less ratchets than the average GJ member? :headscrat:headscrat:

[emoji38]_hitti

I forget when I posted last in this thread, but currently sitting at 48 including 1/4 thru 3/4 and ratcheting screwdrivers.
He is working up to it [emoji2]. I only have 1... 1 roller cab full every drawer with nothing but ratchets. I think I need 2.

I thought I was "bad" what with pushing around 150.

I'll have to go count again and snap a couple pictures.

Wow! Some of you guys have a problem, just kidding lol

I'm a pro

I have 3 1/4" ratchets, USA craftsman, blue point, Pittsburgh pro (work, home, work backup)

4 3/8" Ratchets USA Craftsman, blue point, Pittsburgh pro, kobalt (work, home, work backup, home backup)

2 1/2" ratchets craftsman USA, Pittsburgh (both for work)

They're all nice but I'd like to get some nicer of each drive and make the craftsmans backups
