I’m preparing my attic on my new shop for insulation. The ceiling is not installed yet, so no access problems.
I am going to install the foam attic/soffit baffles. Since I have energy trusses, the baffles with the bends won’t work to close the opening to the soffit since they set up about 6” higher. I am figuring that I am just going to use the baffles without the bends and figure out a way to close up those openings.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to close these openings up? I know on “regular” trusses with a smaller gap I’ve just folded r-13 fiberglass and stuffed it in there. These gaps seem too big for that, even with a thicker insulation.
I don’t know if there is a coated cardboard or something that would work?
