How to Block Soffit Openings?

I’m preparing my attic on my new shop for insulation. The ceiling is not installed yet, so no access problems.
I am going to install the foam attic/soffit baffles. Since I have energy trusses, the baffles with the bends won’t work to close the opening to the soffit since they set up about 6” higher. I am figuring that I am just going to use the baffles without the bends and figure out a way to close up those openings.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to close these openings up? I know on “regular” trusses with a smaller gap I’ve just folded r-13 fiberglass and stuffed it in there. These gaps seem too big for that, even with a thicker insulation.
I don’t know if there is a coated cardboard or something that would work?

I toenailed 2x12 birdblocking under the baffles and between the truss heels, then foamed the resulting gaps.
What is keeping your trusses from domino-ing?

When I get done re-wiring the house, I plan on stapling some 1/8" masonite or hardboard to the edges to block the eventual blown-in insulation. It has been a while since I have been out to the edge to see exactly what's there. I don't remember if there is something I can directly staple to, or whether I will need to nail some cleats to the rafters. I will be stapling baffles to the roof sheeting, then filling the space below with the hardboard.

We always use to use a piece of kraft faced fiberglass insulation, it doesn't take much to block the blow in.

Or ridgid foam boards, which comes in different thicknesses.

That's what I did - 2" rigid foam blocks that hold in the cellulose and keep it from spilling out and keep it at full depth. I have attic storage trusses but it also has an energy heel design. Cut about 1/8" shy of full width, then adhered with whatever loctite product is designed for foam...forget which PL series number it is currently.
