Have a new 220V 60 gallon compressor ready to mount to my newly epoxied shop floor. Are people:

1) Leaving on the shipping crate
2) Removing from crate and sitting on the floor.
3) Bolting to the floor
4) Attaching to some rubber pads?
5) Something else?

Thanks,
Scott

I have an 80g ingersol. At first i had it bolted to the floor with rubber pads under the feet. It felt like it was shaking the floor. I now have it sitting on larger rubber buhings-actually leaf spring bushings. I have it mounted under some shelves i built, so i just ran some steel cables to keep it from walking. Its been great for years now. I can get a pic tomorrow

Thanks...would be interested in pics of the rubber feet. I;ve debated building a "dog house" aoround it to lower noise. Would be curiuous if anyone has done similar.

I put my compressor in a cabinet up on the wall. I've got a squirrel cage blower mounted to the outside blowing air right on the pump, though I haven't wired it in yet. Putting as much sound deadening matereail on the cabinet as I can scrounge. The hockey pucks is a idea I'm looking into. And no issues yet.
