i found a top box on CL. it was cheap and it looked like a S-O. i hit the road at 6:15 this morning. it was an hour & 1/2 away.
i got there and it was in a LOT worse shape than described or the pix showed.
but **** it. it was only 25 bucks and i wasnt goin' home empty handed at that point.
got home and looked and it was a '76 S-O. but by now i had buyers remorse
it was pretty ******, but the drawers slid OK. i thought why not just use it for a bolt/part/junk bin?
i could put it on the shelf w/ my other bolt bins, but the lid wouldnt open....
so why not just cut it off?
i tried to punch out the pin for the piano hinge, no luck. i just cut it out.
it aint pretty, but it'll work.
