I'm sure xtremek didn't start this thread to talk about child support.
I think he wanted to talk about toys!
xtremek, what do you like to do in your shop?
restore/work on cars? weld? metalwork?
if it was me, I'd spend the money on something I could make money with.
I work on cars, trucks, and kids wagons or bicycles. And of course what ever the family needs.
But for the other folks, I guess a little more info is required. We did get a huge chunk, plus $20k (he was over 3 years behind). The wife is a professor (I married her for more than her good looks

), so free college tuition. In the past 4 years neither the wife nor I have spent much money on ourselves. Any improvements I've made to the barn were either garage sale finds from my M&D (Mom's a shopaholic), or pop bottle returns ($200-300 a year). The plan is to pay off a couple credit cards (paid off the wife's last night), pay the girls back tuition (catholic elementary school), spend some directly on the girls

, do some repairs to the house (and my arch nemesis, the driveway

), throw some in the saving, and donate some to the church and charities. The money is coming from Soc.Sec., as he's claiming he's disabled

, so the money will always be there until the girls turn 18. If I get a tool, I want it to be something that won't collect dust, but get used. I like the life we've carved out for ourselves, the lack of extra money has made us become resourceful and creative, so I want tools that will help us do more with less, or do it more efficiently.
