I just got one of these (Bosch GLL2) for Christmas:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I think it's really neat...but the supplied instructions are less detailed than I would have expected. I know how to turn it on and off, and how to lock or unlock the self-leveling feature, but beyond that I'm stumped.
For instance, I wanted to hang some pictures on a wall. I mounted the level to a ladder, engaged the self-leveling feature, and aimed it to the height on the wall that I wanted, but it was obvious that the projected line faded from level in each direction. Based on that observation it would appear that I also have to manually level the level front to back, make it perpendicular to the wall, and raise it to precisely the height I need? Almost seems to be more trouble than it's worth.
Seriously, if anyone can provide a link to a website that can guide me to how to actually USE this thing I'd be much obliged.
