I am making my own tool box and am currently working on the drawer layout. I love stainless steel and I am doing this to help me design, weld, and assemble as a personal project.
I am looking for what you think is the best layout. I know that the harbor freight does not have deep enough drawers on some of its models.
I currently am looking at.
-2x 5 in drawers on top.
-5x 2in drawers in middle
-1x 6in drawer on right
-1x 14in drawer on right
I am undecided on what I want to put on the left side. I am pretty sure I will put another 6in drawer on bottom. What should I put in between it. Any suggestions for overall?
The box is 60in wide, 30in deep and about 40 in tall.
The ultimate question is what would be your ultimate toolbox that isnt gigantic (like some of those awesome 72in snap on that have the topper/worktop)
I haven't designed the inner support until I finalize how I want the drawers.
