SoCal: do you have any pictures of what that aluminum car would look like all put back together? it looks like you are working in your bedroom, but with the cars you own i know better. cool stuff.
BTW i'm guessing you are welding aluminum and what equipment are you using? Tig?? will that also work well on stainless because i'm just learning how to weld. i could probably have you hitting 300 yard drives before i learn to weld if you play or wanted to play golf, but i'm still trying to learn even at my old age.
cheers and post up as many pictures of your shop or cool stuff as you like because it is your intro thread.
D
Yes bedroom your correct LOL Its the loft in the shop in the staging area until we gather more parts
I don't like to post many pictures of the shop as its closed to the public, we only do referral work.
Welding
Tig is easiest for alum. Just take your time and practice. We have several ways including an old set of WWII torches used to build fighter planes. Have not mastered that yet most likely never will LOL
We hand form the alum panels also the old school way with wood stumps, bean bags and hammers. We have a wheel but that's only for new stuff
It will look something like this when done, its a Ferrari 250 SWB
