That's a you **** if there ever was one. Nice!
Thanks FordGuy!
Did you pay the asking price or did you OBO him? Either way it's some definite suckage.
This was a first for me...I stopped at the ATM and got $180 out, put $20 in one pocket and my "offer" of $160 in the other. When I got there, I looked it over and made my $160 offer and he immediately said "no, $175 I had two calls while you were on the way over and they both said they would take it if you didn't"...Okay, no problem right? Well, I only had another $20 and no change, he had no change either so I handed him $180 and just told him to keep the change... OBO went the other way this time

He did let me look around for anything worth $5-10 dollars, I got the queen size bed frame for my girl's daughter's bed. All in all, I paid more than asking but still drove away like I stole it
It also almost became a Final Destination scene. The guy helped me load the anvil from his truck to mine and my girl and I headed home. The anvil was in the center of the bed, against the tailgate. We got on the interstate and took off, topped an overpass and all lanes were stopped up with a wreck. I jammed the brakes just a tad and we thought we got hit by another vehicle, the anvil slid like skates on ice and slammed into my back wall, that bed liner is great for loading but ***** for unstrapped freight... Be sure to strap your anvil down guys!
Excellent anvil. The "mouse holes" on the sides are good to have. That indicates forged and not cast.
Outlaw is right, it looks to be in the 120-150lb range, perfect size for a farriers anvil
If you keep cleaning you should be able to find the weight stamped below the hay Budden mark
Almost forgot: you ****!
Thanks BC! There is a 6 below the Hay Budden mark, I can not make out the rest but will take another look once I get a chance.
That's the crappy model that's prone to breaking. To save you the grief, I'll pick it up next time I get down there.
Hey thanks for the info plow, I'll just throw it out behind the shop and look for another, you can drop by anytime to pick it up
