My favorite German tool is:

Not as classy as a BMW or Mercedes, but very reliable.

Here are mine:

A 12" Knipex Cobra pliers and a Wiha heavy duty Microfinish non-slip grip slotted driver. I think they both came from KC Tool, too.

These are out of my work bag. My job involves a lot of walking, and my tools are almost always on my back. But, if I really need to travel light, and fast, these two always come out of the bag and into my pockets. I surprise even myself with what I can accomplish with these two tools alone.

Favorite is probably my Festool sanders but if power tools don't count then I'd have to go with my Wera screwdrivers. Some people don't like the handles but they fit me perfectly.

We moved from Taiwan to Germany this year. Black handled fixed drivers are German, Grey are the older Taiwan ones.

How about the black handled "bit driver" in the 64 pc (?) set?

Taiwan or Deutschland?

(Sorry for the hijack - wasn't thinking....)

Sorry just saw this, and about the thread hijack.

Taiwan for that handle. Try one, it's really nice! Machined aluminum with a ball bearing swivel top.

We put a ton of work into the handle ergonomics. Both "Human Factors in Engineering and Design" and "The Measure of Man and Woman" were the starting point, then we ran multiple focus groups (professionals, random people from Craigslist, etc) and tested prototypes with repair techs.

We also have a molded plastic version with TPU grip that is popular with techs. The spinner top doesn't have a ball bearing and it's PRC made, but it's very lightweight with great grip.
