finish is nice on them. i like the length and low profile head.

played with one for the first time today.
sure doesnt feel like a 100 tooth ratchet should, imo.

wiggling the anvil and the handle, there is a lot of slop, maybe im just picky.

Husky tools are made by Stanley Works, not Apex Tool Group. Apex does make GearWrench, Allen, Matco, Armstrong, and others. Apex was made up of a merger between Cooper Tool, and Danaher Tools. Kobalt Tools from Lowes are supplied by Apex.

Stanley makes Proto, Mac, Stanley, Facom, and a couple others that don't come to mind right now.[/QUOTE

Husky tools are made by APEX now. They used to be made but Stanley years ago but that's not the case anymore. I have no idea about the Kobalt tools. In my opinion the China made APEX Husky is better than the China made Stanley Husky tools were. I'd still rather have the USA Husky (also Stanley I believe) of old but we probably won't see that again.

Kobalt now in 3rd gen, so to speak, are made by William Tool of Taiwan. At least most of the ratchets are. No relation to JH Williams which made the 1st gen Kobalt.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I have some that were given to me and I use them and like them. They're certainly not a truck tool but have held up well to moderate use.
