I have a 5hp Husky compressor that was leaking oil out of the plate shown in the following drawing. I replaced the seals, went to turn it on and the electric motor could not turn the motor 360 degrees.
IT WAS RUNNING FINE BEFORE I TOUCHED IT!!!
I can turn the crank 360 degrees manually. During a full revolution I can feel a slight drag and even hear a slight rubbing sound. I don't have to turn it very hard either. The drag is enough to stop the electric motor.
What could I have done wrong?
I tried to reinstall the plate several times and get the same result, OF COURSE. I obvously messed something up with the crank.
Any ideas???
