I have a question concerning my HVAC, and I thought someone here might have answer.
The attached photos (at arrow) show where 2 copper pipes are exiting the main body. When the AC is on, generous amount of air blows out the open spaces around each pipe.
Is this normal? Or should air be prevented from flowing through the open gaps.
(I am aware that the black pipe insulation needs repair/replacement. Even in a fixed-state it does not appear to serve the purpose of blocking any air)
Thank you
