I hate all of you!

In the house I grew up in, we fixed everything with a phone call. So, up until just a few months ago, I was blissfully ignorant regarding tools--not knowing Husky from Snap-on. But, in looking for a small set to begin to learn how to work on my motorcycle, I stumbled across this site.

Now, hundreds of dollars later, my meager toolbox is full of Snap-on, Cman pro, Klein and others and I'm forced to get a larger one. I've also been communicating with Mike to get a Toptul order in, so I'm now even drinking THAT particular brand of kool-aid. I've gone from saying, "Does anyone really NEED 8 wrenches?!" to buying them by the sets.

I can't stop myself!!!! And I blame all of you-you guys ****!

(On a positive note, I'm learning alot here and my wife is glad things are starting to get fixed around the house :thumbup:

Wow. Those are all kinds of scary accurate.

Besides ebay, pawnshops, secondhand, etc., how does a regular joe go about purchasing new Snap-on (or other truck) brands if you don't work in a shop? Is it even possible? How do you track down a truck if you ever need to warranty something?

If you can find your local truck, you can REALLY spend some serious money. It's one thing to see something online but quite another when you have your grubby paws on a shiny new ratchet. I don't work in a shop, just my families personal cars but my Snappy guy now knows me on a first name basis and calls my cell when he gets something in that he thinks might interest me.

Now if can only resist the deal he offered me on a Solus Pro today.....

Suggest you go get to know a local dealer as you can get stuff sometimes quite a bit cheaper than the website standard pricing.

This is what has gotten me in trouble. I never had any interest in old tools and boxes until I found this site while researching garage floor alternatives. Now you'll find me at yard sales and flea markets every weekend digging through piles of rusty old tools looking for Plomb! You guys really do ****! :beer:

The universe is conspiring to make me broke- I found out there is a Snap-on dealer living about 10 houses down from me now!

So, I'm putting the wife in some Daisy Duke's and sending her over there with a freshly baked cake and some sweet tea. :thumbup:
