Okay folks, I got an amazing Williams, 11 drawer toolbox. This thing is in GREAT shape and i love it. Here is a box that was posted here VERY similar to mine, however not it. http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=149222 . I am looking for more information about my box. Specifically what year it was made, who made it exactly, and how much it may have cost new.
THANK YOU!! Also, I do not have the key for the lock, How may I get a new lock? Thank you!

  • Post a (better) picture of your specific boxes
  • It should be stamped year made, check the back and the top compartment
  • Post a picture of the drawer slides on your box(es) in question to help determine manufacturer
  • Post a picture of the lock and mechanism

Sadly I am away from home, only have these pictures on my computer. Also, I went over this with a magnifiying glass for over an hour... no date, model number, year, or anything on it, The Williams is the only thing on the box

Take the lock out - you do not need the key for that - and head to your local locksmith shop.
They can either make up a key to fit it or order you a replacement.
It would be a good idea to bring whatever mounting hardware was holding the lock in place with you.

If you strike out with that, PM me some pictures of the lock -front and back - I have a boxful of old tool box locks and may have one that fits.
