Hey guys I am going to build a heavy duty work bench out of wood and would like to hear some recommendations on a good value saw. I have little to no wood working experience so I do not need pro grade equipment. What do you guys think, like etc?
Used for $25-50.

Don't buy a craftsman. Stick with the bigger names, Hitachi, Makita, Dewalt. Anything else is just a copy and not as good and likely the same price.

Who makes the Craftsman?![]()
I have a hitachi12" non sliding compound. I bought it after using a ryobi 10" for years. I only upgraded b/c I was installing taller baseboard. Lowes has a hitachi on Black Friday special for like a 100 bucks or something crazy.
I'm assuming you meant miter saw...chop saws are for metal.
I really like my 12" DeWalt, the basic one.
