The new clamp blocks are silver instead of black, about the only way to tell a difference visually. The set is a really good idea but if they gave a damn they would of made the blocks out of machined steel instead of a powdered metal. Even if the price doubled it would be well worth it.

I would suggest when cutting and flaring, to take the reamer on your cutting tool and "deburr" the center of the tubing. Then take a file and lightly bevel the outside of the tubing at a steep angle. Again lightly.

And I use dielectric gease or brake fluid for a lubricant between the tools and the tubing. Do not lubricate between the clamps and the tubing, just the end being flared. I hope that makes since. Typing in a hurry to leave and go try to see the northern lights!
