I need a floor

I'm rehabbing a 12x16 shed in my back yard, post and beam construction. built in 1970. I will be adding a 8x16 bump out

rebuilding isn't an option..it would be much easier if i could. but set backs wont allow it and i don't have room anywhere else on my lot.

i really wanted to pour a floating slab in the existing part, then do a wood floor on the bump out. i'm concerned with the existing grade, the grade slopes from my neighbors yard towards the shed, that i will end up with water issues, i'm toying with the idea of putting a wood framed floor sitting on a 3/4" gravel base to avoid that.

So is the question about the grade of your yard? If you are asking if you should put a gravel base down so that water can migrate its way through the shed then no. A wood floor is fine if you are fine with a wood floor, but concrete and "forever". I would say you need to regrade you yard some or add some curb that will re direct the water around the shed.
