Yeah, but twenty bucks from the store less than a mile from my house... that's too easy and cheap to ignore. I've been very impressed by the Taiwan-made Doyle, Bremen, and Icon pliers I have so far.
Like all pliers, this style doesn't work for everything, but they work for some things. Just don't use them on nuts and bolts unless they're already chowdered and you're desperate, and it's the only possible way.
