lurking here for over a year gathering electrical, air, and epoxy knowledge, heres my attempt at putting it to work.
started this project a year ago now, and as of now all I have left is to get grass to grow and the rest of the asphalt work done next week started as a beautiful 30x40x10 heated,ac and lined shop well, that wouldn't work for my needs, so an edition was made, well total remodel. set the 40x60 to resuse 80% of existing concrete .
luckily I have way to much equipment in my farm, towing and repair world, so I made plenty of use of it building my own site, and removing old building
all of old building was completely salvaged with inside and outside of old building completely lining new building. insulation was also salvaged.

most people would have killed for building I removed, but atleast I feel it did not go to waste completed whole building with the major help of my dad for winter labor, trying to do it all affordably.

Building is 14'. House is in a fairly residential area and house is a ranch so was trying to keep it low, hence the long eves' to make it appear lower

Loft is 8" c channel welded back to back from scrap. 6' ceilig height on top. Kinda short, but works for what I need and how often I'm up there. I'm 5'10" so I don't mind Under loft is not claustrophobic even for tall people

Nice looking place, looks like a lot of cool stuff gets done there.

I'm indeed impressed that you park your vehicles on the ceiling as that is a great use of space. However, those lights on the floor are just asking to be broken.

Yep, glad I braced the ceiling good!
More specs on loft Floor is 2x8 on 10" centers and 3/4 plywood. Plywood doubled up under air compressor. Corner staircase works extremely well. End of beam above man door is set ontop of original building post that was set in concrete that was left in place as part of remodel. Beam also help to side of building with cable and turnbuckles every 8' between the 2x8 to prevent loft from falling away from wall

Work a 50 hour day job along with helping farm 2200 acres during busy season, so this was quite a project to under take in a year with so much to do and so little time. Only contracted out concrete and landscaping to friends, but I do both of their fleets repair work so it was a good trade. Glad I'm young and not married, otherwise this would have been a much harder ordeal. The one GF was complaining about this project 2 1/2 months in, so she had to go!! Lol

Fine shop! That asphalt drive is nice,,,looks around 4" thick. Around here they try to short you. I'm going to try to find a decent crew to lay one for me. Toughest thing to do building...finding people that care about the job they do. Doing the work yourself like you did..with all your other work...commendable. Love the loft! Congrats
