These are now getting to the age where slides may or may not be available.

I’ve had decent luck getting slides for late 80’s boxes and newer, but it is hit or miss for the older stuff.

Asking your SO dealer is the best way to know for sure.

I talked to snapon customer service last week and the slides are available, but the part numbers have changed from the originals, I will look in the morning and post the part numbers

a lot of the younger dealers don’t want to be bothered researching the part numbers for the old boxes especially since if it is a warranty they are working for free

the replacement ball bearing slides for my other box are back ordered

Hey QF,

If you can remove a drawer, the Part Number will be on the slide....

I have a couple sets of slides ordered for one of my KR 557 boxes.... along with a "keyed alike lockset"...

The last set took about 6 or 8 wks for him to get in....

Hope this helps.

I know the part numbers are stamped in the slides, my issue was that one part number had been supeceeded and half the slides the stamping was warm to the point that it looked like a different number.

the 800 customer service ordered everything on 10/29 and the last of it arrived 11/5. Slides, 3 keyed lock sets, the drawer removal tool and a couple of cans of spray paint.

I prefer to go to the source and not deal with the truck for orders because the guys working this area don’t follow through on my small orders

the part numbers are
8-1257 (for the small drawers)
8-267 (for the big drawers)

Hey QF,

Dang!

Really fortunate, have a good guy on the truck here......

I meet him at a local business to do business.

He has been of great help over the last several years.....

Shoots me a text when parts & stuff come in time to ensure I can meet up.

If I can't (Dr. appt. etc) we hook up the following week.

He has even dropped stuff at my place....

I've always just called Snap On Customer Service and they've taken care of me. I'm just a hobbyist schlub so no dealer for me. Never a problem, they're very impressive. Be prepared to tell them which drawers you need the slides for and they can look it up and figure it out. From the time you order until you get them is pretty quick.

The only parts they did not have were the handle on the end of the box to move it and the handle on the back for the drawer.

so I am still looking for both handles
I'm guessing the side handle is likely the same one they used for the 557 and some of their other roller boxes. I'll check the measurements on mine. May help you to source another one.

This is from another thread

I needed a new handle for my Taco Wagon as the black end caps wandered off over the years and I got tired of my jury rigged ends. I work in a complex of 4 aircraft hangars all in a row and each one sized to hold a 747, so I do a lot of tool box rolling depending in which hangar the broken plane I'm working on that day is. Snap On sells a handle for the newer "Classic" series of roll cabs that bolts right on to the earlier boxes, it's P/N 5213X50PV and costs $18.85 with attaching hardware.
