Xi Pho says sorry... putted wong wordie on sokkit baskyt label

I have seen some real goofs on imported product labels. I lay odds the impact gun emblem should not have a line drawn across.. the words "impact approved" would also help.. OK,, they did do that part right??? The translator who proof reads this stuff might have taken the day off. The sockets are USA, but the case may not be... This isn't uncommon.

Does the socket have the word "impact" inscribed??

I have a set of Cornwell black oxide sockets that look to be for impact use... "Non impact" is stamped, along with the size and Cornwell USA lettering..

Is it really so difficult to not to keep this **** in your own garage?

Deke,,, when it gets to the point that my time is, or will be wasted on trying to translate the information that comes with a product,, I make it a point to not let it into my garage in the first place..

I don't need the grief...

There is a possibility that case and label were actually made in the USA,,
if so,, nothing changes,, as someone does not understand the language and symbols... That fact is printed on the label we are discussing.. Whoever did do that goof is a person attempting to do their job... wherever they are

OK. SO HERE IS AN ANSWER TO THE ORIGINAL POSTER'S QUESTION.

After about an hour of phone calls to Stanley and Canadian Tire, I have been told by Stanley's Canadian customer service that these tools are indeed rated for use with power tools, and that the warning is actually a "mistake" by Stanley.

Here is the number for Stanley customer service Canada:
1-800-262-2161

I called there and was put on hold, and after a couple minutes a gentlemen who has been working for Stanley for over 20 years came on the line and told me that the warning is a mistake by Stanley and that the tools are fine for use with power tools, air tools etc..

This set is at my local Canadian Tire for a great price and I made this account to answer this question. Great community and I look forward to looking through the numerous threads here! Thanks.

A revived thread with a happy ending. I love it. The suspense was building through each page. Just think, anyone else back when this was originally posted could have done the same... there's something to be learned here but I can't put my finger on it. Oh well, back to claiming snap on ratchets are actually made in china and all of mac's stuff is as well.

seemed to me that they used a substitute box.

I don't think so. The lid says impact sockets and then not for power tools on same sticker. They probably had a template set in the computer for chrome and impact sockets or something. Some genius just changed to impact sockets and assumed everything else would be the same.
