I love my 26”. My best test for box quality is how much do the drawers flex side to side when extended. A heavy, quality box won’t flex much. cheap steel, with cheap slides, will flex a ton. the USGeneral stuff is decent enough, but I don’t think it would hold up to the punishment these could take.
One of the biggest selling points for me was the locking mechanism. None of this “the lid must be up” ********. As you can see, I have mine sitting in some Gorilla Rack, with a shelf overhead. That clamped carpet you see is to protect the finish, as the lid bangs into the rack when it opens. It was important to me to not have to have the lid up fully to open the drawers. The drawers lock by lugs lifting into position in front of the slides, instead of catching the drawers from the back (and creating an unfinished wear point that can rust).
Once we get a house and I get my shop up, the fiance has hinted a 41” chest/rollaway combo is in my future. I’m holding out hoping I can talk her into the 56”
