Hey y'all,
I've been gone for a while, but now I'm back. Right now, I am in the market for a low-end scan tool. I have done some research and learned that if I wanted a scan tool with bi-directional capabilities, I would need to spend some serious cash.
Since I'll only be using the scan tool occassionally, it does not make much sense for me to shell out a lot of money for a scan tool that I will rarely use, especially for a college student. So for now, I think my best route would be to purchase a lower-end scan tool for basic code retrieval, then upgrade to a higher-end model at a later time.
I have been looking at this scanner:
http://www.equus.com/product_info.php?product_id=3160&category_id=1_10_7
I can get one of these for $215 shipped. What do you guys think? The only bummer is that it doesn't read ABS codes for my '96 Saturn.
Plus it doesn't have TPMS capabilities. I would prefer to have something with TPMS capabilities-- what's the least expensive scan tool with TPMS capability?
Thanks!
