I have a 30 gal 110v Kobalt compressor. It sure as the world isn't what I used to have (an old industrial grade 220v 60 gal compressor), but it works for most general small shop work. You just have to let it catch up and it won't feed some really air hungry tools. I got it for about 60% off new from someone who thought they needed it but soon realized they needed money more. That compressor was the best 110v option I have found, and I didn't want to run 220v to my current garage.

Just a simple bit of advice. You don't shop for air compressors by the gallon. You shop for them by CFM.

Ditto what he said. You also want to look at what PSI it produces the rated CFM. I know a lot of IR compressors publish their rated CFM at 175 psi where others have their rated CFM at 90psi.

Thanks for the info...

Im looking at a Huskey 20gal. Runs about $199, and can produce 155 PSI, 4.3 SCFM @90 PSI... Any good?

Keep in mind, Im only using it for my impact, nailer, and the occasional tire fill...

Many of the cheap higher cfm compressors are insanely loud, make sure you hear it run before you buy.

Just my two cents, but for filling tires and occasional impact use I would buy a cheap small "pancake" style compressor.

Big Boi,

I actually have that same one for the same purposes and for what you describe your uses will be it is more than ample.
