I got one of the 30gal. compressors Lowes was discounting some months back, it's been sitting in the basement but is ready to be used.
I'll be wiring it for 220V use. I want to run a line from the basement out to the garage to run some air tools as well use it in the basement for small stuff, blowing dirt with a gun, pin nailer, etc. so I'll split it into two lines after the regulator.
It's about a 40ft run from where it's located out to where I want the outlet in the garage. I have a 50ft length of 3/8 PVC air hose that's too stiff to use while working so I thought perhaps I could use that for the run out to the garage, will that be OK or do I really need to got to black pipe? If I need black pipe do I need to put a tee with a drain in it?
I see some of you use a separator to take the water out of the air, where would that go?
Is there a primer on GJ on how to set up a compressor system? Like to do it right the first time.
thanks,
Rob
