First of all I apologize as I would have thought my answer would have been in the archives, but I have spent several hours on here and youtube without an answer. I recently had a 64x40x12 barn built. I did not have the builder install windows as I felt I had enough experience to do it myself. I don't have any issue building the frames for the windows, but where I need a little advice is where to cut the siding. After I build the frame do I mark the outside of the frame on the siding and cut there which would leave the frame exposed to the exterior and allow for easier install with the nailing flange. Then just use J channel to cover up the nailing flange? Thanks for any advice.
